Uber Driver killed by 13 and 15 yr old in DC

Sounds easy to come to this decision from the comfort of your home or wherever you are.

As opposed to what? Me getting carjacked and thinking that dying over my ****** 2000’s car is worth it?

if he has GPS (Uber) And insurance it’s a no brainer man.

Nobody posting in here is the EXACT same as they were @ 13-15 if you’re 23+

I get that video is foul but it would be ridiculous for them to be 80 years old still in prison over some **** that they did @ 15

even for them to still be in there at 40 or 50 would kinda be OD if they haven’t continued living like that.

Put them in prison and see which way they choose to take their own life and at 20, 25, 30 you can make the decisions of what to do next

but maybe I’m too soft. They still two lil lost black girls at the end of the day. I’m not saying to let them go next week

alternatively, yes it would be kinda wild if they get out at 23-25 and come home tryna start a rap career based of killing this *****

like I said man it’s a tough call glad I’m no judge.
Dude there’s levels to al of this and these 2 kids are at the absolute extreme. Maturity isn’t necessary to teach that killing is wrong. It’s a basic human instinct. There’s a wire that isn’t there. Sorry but “they’ll maybe learn” is out the window. Sure, they’ll also maybe kill another person. We aren’t taking about stealing gum here. Someone is dead. That’s not changing. At best they could be an example for someone not to do this

I am just saying it is super easy for US to be able to see that far in advance grom watching a video multiple times.

I know yall dudes ain't letting 2 little girls rough yall for your car.

Stop it man.

once the car is on and she’s tryna drive away in drivers seat you’re tryna stop a moving car regardless how old the driver is. It being a kid who don’t know how to drive makes it even more dangerous  @ “letting two little girls” like that’s supposed to fill me with pride to where I think I can handle the situation hanging off of the car.

but I don’t wanna get into ridiculing the victim. RIP to dude.

I completely understand why he didn’t let go

and like I mentioned, split second decisions were made and I don’t expect anyone to think 100% rationally in a moment like that.

You’re probably right about second degree. I think the fact that we are talking about a 13 year old though should open the door to a manslaughter (voluntary) discussion.

The man was required to have insurance to work for Uber, so I wish that would have factored in more prominently, but again it all happened so fast.

Yea my initial thought was why he didn't let go until I really thought about it. It looks really stupid from our perspective but I get it.

They tased him unexpectedly. Very few people will react normally if they're caught off guard. As Mike Tyson said, "everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face".

I an sure a LOT of men wouldn't just give up the car because of pride and feeling like 2 little girls got over on them.

Let this be a lesson for youngins. If you are getting robbed, you need to be alive to get your stuff back. Don't try to be a hero in the moment and lose your life over stuff that can easily be replaced.

Pride get a lot of ppl permanently messed over man. Pride is an illusion. Survival is key. I try to stay away from wreckless people and minimize contact.
If laterion milton and his lil friend wanted to jack my car take it. I pay my insurance and there are cameras everywhere. Plus chances of someone getting hurt increased drastically. Don't let that pride shhh get you hurt brehs.

The man must have felt some attachment to the car. It was his own vehicle to make ends meet. He probably thought his chances of taking it back were good. But it wasnt.

The downside of billion dollar ride sharing companies making all there money off of poor peoples property. Making billions and stealing gas, vehicle wear and tear and time from poor people. Especially older immigrants that flock to these types of jobs.

Foreigners come from other countries where they don't expect for insurance and standard government services to work. Things are a little better in America which is what they put up with to come over here and earn.a older man like that he probably didn't understand or have faith in the insurance process. Most of them come here to fly under the radar. It's sad man.

They’re essentially just the middle man. They sold an app and stickers. No other supplies needed. Crazy that it caught on like it did

Lesson for everyone. Be alive, stay alive. That’s your main concern.

There was a story some years ago where a kid had his hat stolen. He calls his dad and his father goes to the park talks to the kid who stole his son's hat and collects his son's hat. The moment he turned around and walked away, the kid shot him in the head, and to add insult to injury, he beat the case. Apparently the victim, in that case, was a peacemaker and probably thought he could he could quell the situation with his usual talking to, but instead, he's dead and left behind a family. Personally I ain't talking. I saw what happened to Tyrese in baby boy when them young ****** stole his bike.

I won't even disagree with you to be real...Once that situation starts to the best of your ability you gotta start knocking **** out and slinging em around as harsh as that may be to say.

Caught on so hard that these billion dollar companies that make nothing are the norm. Strange times.

Some of these replies are really discouraging...

NT got some closet right wing extremists who don’t even realize it. I’m gonna chalk it up to ignorance

Talking about lock the children up for life, or even kill the kids.

Condolences to the victim and his family. Hoping the kids get the rehabilitation and leadership they need to get their life on track.

What kids that don’t even have a license need a car for though?

Like what was the plan? They were gonna bring it to a chop shop or send it out on a shipping container or something?

These kids rather have a iPhone than a driver's license. We're in different times

Like what if they get pulled over?
Does the function of a car CHANGE depending on the age/qualifications?

A teenager is stealing a car to drive it, I mean what else would they want to do with it?

Them having a license has nothing to do with it.
