U.S. deploys 12,000 troops to steal Libya's oil.

Again, they have influence. I can't deny this. One only needs to look at a person like Mort Zuckerman and his financial contributions to Presidential campaigns. But to say they dictate policy, as if the US is beholden to Israel, is a completely different assertion.
Do people understand Israel is less than 70 years old? It only exists because Western powers allowed it. Doesn't that mean anything?

I checked cynthia mckinneys political blog http://www.allthingscynthiamckinney.com/ and the article you posted above does not exist. (maybe she took it down?)
And the article posted above was in response to the false presstv article that had a fake source.

You guys should really learn to check sources.

The San Francisco Bayview published this article, I'm sure they wouldn't have done so if it wasn't real.
The San Francisco Bayview is not a legitimate news source. Have you even visited the the site? They seem to be a Black Nationalist organization. Their article on libya is based on the fake article attributed to Cynthia Mckinney. They don't have a real story.
It's scary how easy it is to manipulate the minds of people like you.

For those that live in the NorthEast, are you guys ever scared that your area would be a high priority target being adjacent to huge cities as well as political institutions?

Whatever the Zionist state of Israel says, goes (in regard to what actions the U.S. takes).

I don't understand how people subscribe to this. I would think Israel is beholden to places like the US and the UK. Those countries created and supported Israel (and still do), often through weaponry (Ben-Gurionism) and direct aid.

I think people assign a place like Israel too much power, possibly due to prejudice.

Basically, read a history book. I recommend Cleveland's version of the modern ME. Jews were "aliens" until 1948 and now they run US foreing policy? Does that sound crazy to anyone else?

Ah yes. Only a matter of time before 'prejudice' got thrown around in a thread involving Israel.

Even if it is true that they were aliens (which it isn't), how the hell is it crazy that something can change over 60 friggin years, considering the fact how looked down upon the Irish were in the early 20th century and had a president by the 50s, and how Barack Obama's very existence (racially mixed marriage) would be illegal in 1948, let alone the things he wouldn't be able to do as a citizen.

Read a book? How about you read up on the power of the Israeli lobby in the Congress?

Ah, more troops deployment. The Patriots made sure that got high priority in this military industrial complex

Incidentally, New Gingrich has a Billionaire donor named Sheldon Adelson. He owns a propaganda paper in Israel that bolstered Bibi to Prime Minister.

i love this. so far this article basically doesn't exist, yet you'll give it the benefit of the doubt. but when it comes to anything related to the U.S. govt...then its always some NWO *%$%#+@% or whatever else you want to believe.
you're THE MOST annoying person so far on NT. every damn article you post is a conspiracy theory.

Not to say that this is or isn't happening or that things like this don't happen but this dude just blindly follows whatever supports his very narrow perceptions of the world (a very "extreme" perspective)... while condemning other people for blindly following what supports their own perceptions of the world (typically a more "mainstream" perspective).

Isn't this common sense?  Plus with the article below you know damn well these tankers are protected by the US Military.

Jan. 19 (Bloomberg) -- ConocoPhillips booked an oil tanker to haul Libyan crude to the U.S. as the North African country boosts output following the overthrow of Muammar Qaddafi last year, data from shipbrokers including Poten & Partners show.

The Donat, a 1 million-barrel carrier owned by Zadar, Croatia-based Tankerska Plovidba DD, was hired to load 135,000 metric tons of crude on Jan. 31 and sail to the U.S. Gulf Coast, data from New York-based Poten show. The shipment is the first of its kind since September when the holder of Africa’s largest oil reserves began resuming seaborne exports, according to the broker’s lists of tanker charters on Bloomberg.

http://mondoweiss.net/201...why-am-i-so-cynical.html
Why do so many people have a conspiratorial view of the Israel lobby? One reason is that our media are largely silent on what we all know to be a real force in our politics, and so feverish minds are left to speculate.

The latest evidence. A week or so after Newt Gingrich said that the Palestinians are an invented people, his Super PAC has received $5 million from Sheldon Adelson, whose central cause is Israel.

edit: Just saw this posted today. Wow. Another easy 5 mill.

http://mondoweiss.net/201...a-word-about-israel.html
The New York Times has a long front-page story by Nicholas Confessore about Sheldon Adelson’s wife Miriam donating another $5 million to the Gingrich campaign and there is no mention of Adelson’s #1 issue, Israel.  Not a single mention.
Tablet is also forthright about Sheldon’s agenda.
But if [the nominee] does end up being Gingrich, it will be in no small part thanks to Sheldon Adelson, the richest Jew in the world (as he has boasted) and an extremely hawkish supporter of Israel. And this is quite important. Earlier this month, Adelson materially aided Gingrich and politically helped him by changing the narrative when he donated $5 million to a pro-Gingrich group, well over half of which was spent in South Carolina.

Apparently it isn't. Judging by some of recent contributions to this thread, thinking this is a "very narrow perception of the world".

If the article was fake, then why would a Maltese newspaper spend the time asking their government to confirm?

I'd just like to say that I've had conversations with oil company owners, that say there is enough oil in Oklahoma to last us 100's of years. They also say that oil is as abundant inside the earth as water on the surface.
