Here's my take on it:
America LOVES toeing the line and flying too close to the sun.
They LOVE "savage" material...until it's too savage.
They love selling "sex"..... until a nipple is shown. (Or until sex is literally sold)
Women love dangerous men.... until they put them in danger.
This is a very tricky time that we're in... We looooove to push the envelope, but we never know how far is too far. It's like offensive is fine, until some arbitrary line is crossed.
