Knockout is a great game. Used to play that like crazy in junior high. Had like 20 people involved sometimes.

Knockout is a great game. Used to play that like crazy in junior high. Had like 20 people involved sometimes.

Never played "Three in the Bucket" though.
Three in the bucket:

Everyone shoots from behind the 3-pt line.
The first player shoots a 3.
If he misses, he goes to the back of the line. Nothing happens.
If he MAKES it, he just put 2 points 'in the bucket'. He made it, so obviously, the ball is coming out of the net and towards the ground. Before itbounces twice, he has to catch it and make a layup, putting one more point 'in the bucket.'
Basically, if he makes his 3, then lets the ball bounce zero times or one time and makes his layup, he puts 'three in the bucket'.
Now the player behind him shoots. If he makes his 3, he puts 2 more 'in the bucket (so 5 now). If he makes his layup, that's another 1 'in thebucket', bringing the total to 6.
Now the next player shoots his 3, and misses. He now has 6.

Before the game, you pick a point at which a person is out. We've always played 21. So now the 3rd player has 6.

If you miss the layup attempt after your made 3-pointer, you get whatever points were in the bucket.

It's waaaaay harder to explain than it is to play.

If there are points in the bucket when you start, you have to mak your 3 and then your layup, or else you get whatever points were in the bucket.

If you make your 3-ball, you have to catch the ball before it dribbles a second time, and you have to make your layup, or you get whatever points were in thebucket.

It's really fun when a string of people make their 3s and layups, and it gets to be up to like 40-something or 50-something in the bucket. A couple dudes Iplayed with in college that could shoot lights out, whenever they would play, they would always be the final two shooting it out, and they got it up to 80 and90 before a couple times.

anyway, horse will only be fun to watch if the players playing have a crapload of trick shots. something like shooting a ball one handed, flat footed, fromthe 10th row in the stands. now that'd be sick.
