youd think that, dun. but if you check craigslist, alot of those laptops are stolen.

system updates wouldnt do that you would have to register your laptop to their website
which most people dont even do

Word. I'm not familiar with Apples infrastructure, but I'm pretty sure they dont record hardware serial numbers and mac addresses and @$@ when you usea computer. Even still.. You could go use somebody else wifi or a hotspot for updates.

Was it efficient? Sure. Daring? Sure. Smart? No. Sooner or later this is going to get back to them.

To the person that suggested they "deserve" to have stolen goods for having caused no physical harm to anyone in the process, how the hell does thatmake any sense? If I rape a girl and she ends up liking it and doesn't want me to stop, do I "deserve" to walk away from the situationguilt-free?
