:x at this recent business

As much as I'd say take that 20m for Rooney. Right now, we can't be overly cocky. As frustrating as Rooney can be. We'll need him if injuries rack up during the business end of the season.

We didn't buy pogba for his goals.. my guy never scored more than 8 league goals before coming back.. expecting that to change in a summer would be ridiculous. In fact, I remember that exact convo in here during the summer centered around us paying so much for a mf who doesn't score that often. Maybe you Tom expected more goals but (and I'm not speaking for every United fan ) most of knew what we were getting and we're more than ok with it. But I understand.. you made a poor statement about him underperforming and then altered it to the one area that you could find that could be improved. It's cool

Beans, don't even bother with those Man Utd "stans" [emoji]128064[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji].

They just love talking about their favorite club. It's a natural thing to want to verbalize your love for someone or something.

Listen man, it looks like you're confused.

Your mans felt cornered so he tried to throw a shot at Sturridge saying he's underperforming blah blah blah. I compared him to Pogba in terms of performance. Ya mans said you can't compare them cause it's two different positions (as if this isn't done every year with the FIFA World Player of the Year, but whatever). His reasoning for not comparing two is "midfielders don't score(which is false) nor assist" which is false. I provided him with a well-known example of a midfielder who scores, knowing damn well he or some other hurdur out the bunch would try to spin it by saying I'm comparing the two . He backtracks and says Maradona scores cause he also played as a forward(basically trying to discredit Maradona). I provided y'all with another example of a midfielder who played the total opposite of Maradona and played the exact same role as Pogba if not, much more defensively, yet he still managed to score goals. All of a sudden that goes ignored and y'all grasping for straws. Stop cosigning some of these cats when they are talking foolishness and then say y'all feel attacked and trying to twist and turn it to look good. No matter how much you dress BS it's BS a the end of the day.I know it's your fellow supporter and you can't publicly scold him for his nonsense, but take him outside. Man's is clearly a glory hunter.

When Sturridge returned from injury, he was influential in creating a number of goal-scoring opportunities. He's played 13 league matches and has 2 goals 5 assists. In those 13 matches he hasn't played a full 90. His time on the pitch varies in each of thoses games from 3 minutes to 75 minutes. The average between all 13 matches is 40 minutes a game. 2 goals and 5 assists in 13 matches at 40 minutes per game is damn better than Pogba's 21 league games at 90 minutes a game (not including injury time) with only 4 goals and 3 assists. So miss me with that

You using goals and assists to explain why Pogba, a midfielder, is less influential than Sturridge, a forward, is a reason why people should ignore you.

Apologies for not responding in a timely manner sir :lol Look bud, I'll try to make this as simple as I can for you. Sturridge plays further up the pitch than Pogba. Which means he has a greater chance of being on the end of things, which means more chances at scoring and assisting goals. Does that make sense? Do you see why rating a midfielder against a forward using that as criteria is slanted towards the forward? By your logic Jermaine Defoe is better than Iniesta. Guess you think Frank Lampard is the best midfielder ever huh? Ronaldo always has more assists than Iniesta, guess that means he's a better playmaker :lol If you use only goals and assists to rate players we should just agree to not talk about players anymore.

I see there is a mental inability for y'all to get over the fact that midfielders can score goals and I know y'all worship man like God, so even saying Maradona in the same sentence as anyone else gets y'all flustered so I'm gonna give y'all an example that y'all should be able to wrap y'all head around.

Y'all bought Pogba with the expectation for him to score and get assists, but considering it ain't directly reflecting like that, y'all gonna look at other stats to comfort y'all for overspending on him. It's like when a man settles with a girl that he ain't too fond of . "She don't look so good, but she can still cook or she can clean".

Pogba and Dybala will reunite at Real. Juventus needs to produce that one Italian star that'll never leave or a Nedved/Trezeguet type of player. Loyalty in football is almost nonexistent anymore. Most of these cats look like Shaq at the end of his career moving from team to team.

Man U fans better enjoy Pogba while it lasts. Y'all got him five years max. Already wasted that first year fighting for 4th place.

Pretty much every United fan knew this.

Nah I knida hope he waste his prime at united fighting for a Europa spot and United are unable to recoup the funds

Weird, you'd think no one would want to sign dude based on how unproductive he's been this season...

Anyone still bringing up the transfer price has some serious female tendencies with how y'all busy pocket watching us. You know full well either a) he'll stay and become a legend, more than justifying the price by the end of his career or b) he will get an even larger transfer fee to bring him to the Bernabéu and ManU looks genius on the back end.

id be willing to bet a dub that man u wont be able to recoup the money when the time comes. Unless he starts scoring 20 goals a season, i think this will be the last time in a long time we will see a midfielder go for that much. And this has nothing to do with the debate you guys have been having. There's a reason man u were the only ones willing to pay the fee because nobody else in europe felt it fit to pay that much at the moment for a midfielder. Yes the market is different now, and transfer fees are much higher but now the only time you hear someone might be sold for 90 million plus are forwards (I.E. Bale, Dybala) Most midfield transfers after that have all been in the 40-50 million range

I don't see Real spending that much for Pogba and United making more then what they paid, or even getting a full return on what they paid for him. You guys are taking the depreciation. Nobody is going to offer United that much for him. Son is a german luxury car.

But thats not to say United should worry about his cost now either. Its only expensive if United feels it was, and they don't feel that way, so his cost is irrelevant at this point. The shock value of it is over.

But TBH the only clubs who could have taken Pogba for that price without a damb are United, Chelsea, City, and Madrid. I don't even think Barcelona would have enjoyed that fee, despite them being more than wealthy enough to pay it.

United spent $100m's on Pogba and in return they've become the wealthiest club in football. No league title, no CL, nothing. Just a signing and advertising. That was their plan, and it worked. #POGBACK was highly effective.

But don't expect the biggest sports team in the world to overpay for him just because you guys did :lol Madrid will stack their midfield and a prime Toni Kroos will keep them cruising. Dybala or someone up front.

I see Pogba just cruising at United, success or not. Making a move made towards his late 20's to possibly Madrid or somewhere, but his $ value has hit its peak with United.

On another note, Roma got Grenier for a steal. Looks like Parades is gone soon too. Gives us the option to pick up Donsah or Kisse. I'd prefer Kisse mainly because he can take over for De Rossi when the time comes. I doubt we can land Kisse with all the hype he's got.

You mean Kessie? He's been ballin at At(a)lanta.

Grenier, Gourcuff, and Gonalons were my favorite players to play with.

it will be interesting to see if pogba's fee would go up or down cause he sold for way too much.

like someone said he would need to produce a lot more goals to sell for more.

it's also a gamble in the locker room to pay someone that much money.  he demanded from barca and real wages that would rival their best players

and he's still unproven. that would rustle a lot of jimmies

united don't have any superstars so it worked

james is kind of in a similar situation where teams want him but nor for the inflated cost real madrid paid.

but james is in a worse position because teams aren't really sure what he's capable of. he never got a consistent chance

Yeah that's his name lol. He destroyed Roma when they beat us earlier this season. I really doubt we will land him. He'll probably leave Italy or go to Juve. Only concrete way we sign him is if we sell Nianggolan. Which I can't allow.
