im not excusing arsenal's performance, embarrassing. so what epl teams are truly favored getting matched up against barca and bayern in the early stages? inconsistent liverpool? Shaky Citeh? spurs? 6th place man u? just wondering. regardless, once again underwhelming and hopefully its clear now to the board.

I'm genuinely wondering why Arsenal didn't just close up shop and park the bus?

Why bring on Ozil and co?

The moment they were a man down....against an inform Bayern...

just park the bus.
i agree but at the same time, you are already in a huge hole, why not just go for it instead of sitting back and taking it anyways. After the red, hell after the first leg, we had nothing to lose

Those teams might not advance against Bayern, but none of them are getting beat 10-2 on aggregate.

I get where you're coming from, and that would have worked had you just lost 3-1. I think Wenger should have parked the bus right after the red, or right after the next goal. Going forward at that point was simply foolish because the risk was high. Especially against a club that you know has spanked you before.

Instead of just losing while throwing the kitchen sink at it for the final 15min, it turned into a massacre.

Hindsight is 20/20, but that was ludicrous decision to me.

"The players have not let me down, the referee has."

When asked if he will mange Arsenal again in the UCL. Wenger: "I don't know."

"I think the club is in great shape but going though a difficult situation."

"The decision the referee and his assist made to send off Koscielny was scandalous."

Wenger: "The Lewandowski penalty was not a penalty and he was also offside."

i hear you, and in hindsight, if that prevented 3 more goals than that would would of been less painful to endure :lol :{

There have been rumors that marc overmars could be offered to come in as sporting director and possibly bring bergkamp with him as head of the youth academy. that would be nice
