The Celtics even ran Al HORFORD, one of the most likeable and stoic players, away from their franchise.

Another player who wanted no part of Kyrie

“I’m not sure that has anything to do with it for me,” Horford told the Herald. “I just think that if Kyrie would have stayed, I don’t know if it would have worked. There would have had to be some major changes as far as players, because it was just clear that the group that we had just wasn’t going to be able to coexist.”

Nah. It’s just disrespectful how some people label people as weird or say they have mental issues, just because they don’t subscribe to certain standards that others have. That’s crazy

Nothing wrong with being weird. But in the context of a team sport like basketball when you spend hundreds of hours around each other, traveling the country (and world) and you're up and down all the time, I get how it could become tiresome.

That's why I always prefer people who are consistently closer to a baseline mood as opposed to being all over the place. It's exhausting trying to predict people like that.

And it’s a difference in being a weirdo and being a bad teammate. Kawhi is a weird dude. But outside of HA Tony Parker, no one says anything about him.

Kyries an AWFUL teammate and a weirdo....

but somehow managed to coerce one of the best players ever (KD) to join forces.

The Celtics even ran Al HORFORD, one of the most likeable and stoic players, away from their franchise.

Did you not see what Horford just said recently?

“I’m not sure that has anything to do with it for me,” Horford said. “I just think that if Kyrie would have stayed, I don’t know if it would have worked. There would have had to be some major changes as far as players, because it was just clear that the group that we had just wasn’t going to be able to coexist.”

And what about if he’d known Kemba Walker was coming. Horford paused.

“I don’t want to get caught up in the past,” he said, “but, yeah, that would have been totally different.”

How is media BS if it’s been happened ? The waiters fight happened. The lebron dispute happened. The Celtics happened.

And let’s be real man no teammate/coach of 2 weeks is going to say anything negative about anyone. Especially publicly. Especially when he’s ace boon is on IR. That’s how you get fired/traded.

But hey man maybe he’s turned a new leaf

Fam how many time have i reiterated that he has clearly has issues with Teammates.

However the media is spinning this as if Kyrie is some black sheep who gets along with nobody & just goes rogue & does his own thing.

Media says "sources" say their was a blowup in China... the Coach, and several other players say nah i don't recall anything like that happening.....

Ya'll ............. the players are clearly lying

dudes are gonna pick & choose what "information" they want to believe based on the perception they already have of someone. I've stated numerous times throughout this thread that Kyrie clearly isn't an easy guy to work with.... i'm just not gonna go to the extremes that the media has gone too & paint him out as some franchise burning crazy dude who has issues with everyone he comes across.

HORFORD STILL LEFT......

after it was clear as day, that Kyrie was leaving :lol :lol :rollin :lol

Horford did not re-sign..... :lol

so it’s ok for players to call dude out but it isn’t ok for reporters to report it?

Kyrie on his BS already. :lol

When KD come back it's gonna be all kinds weirdo stories coming outta there. Both of 'em are most moody and goofy dudes in the leauge. And it might be worth it cuz both of 'em are great.

This timeline doesn't make sense considering all reports have stated that Kyrie told Ainge in exit meetings that he was not returning... which would explain why they had a Kemba deal ready to announce before FA officially kicked off.

Which would mean that outside of just Kyrie the team as a whole has chemistry issues...........

kyrie LEFT......... And Al Horford STILL left. It was more than Kyrie but cool. Horford still managed to sign elsewhere

Because the Celtics were going more towards the youth movement/soft rebuild, Al wasn't getting any younger and wanted to win now. Which I don't blame him for. AND he had the opportunity to make more money. No brainer really.

Horford did not re-sign.....
To sign a 4 year/$100M+ contract as a declining 33 YO center with the best team in the East... A contract the Celtics, at least on the surface, weren't willing to match.

Why's that surprising? And why's that have any negative reflection on Boston?

Jimmy Butler AINT like Kyrie though. Neither is Rondo or Russ or any of the other *******s yall stacking Kyrie with.

It is not the same. :lol

I'm shocked Dwight was able to stay in front of Ja for an entire possession last night.

This is why I've always felt like they would be coming into a place where they may never fully fit in. Joining the team with a couple of other dudes, and two of your closest friends, I can see them almost being on an island in Brooklyn with the rest of their teammates.

Who knows though. It's too early to be doing this speculating, and Jackie MacMullan is biased with her Boston ties. I'm definitely rooting for locker room implosion, though.
