So, I found out about the D Rose book because he was interviewed on the Dan Patrick radio show this morning. One of the exchanges they had was pretty funny:

DR: Kobe was the first person in the NBA to ever “son” me. Do you know what sonning is?

DP: No. I haven’t heard that before. Like he was a big brother? A mentor?

DR: Ha ha, nah. Not a mentor. Like, he used his leverage on me.

DP: What do you mean? What did he do?

DR: When I was a rookie, I had a commercial shoot with Kobe in LA. He showed up 3 hours late on purpose, just to show me what was up. I was like, “come on, man”...

DP: Oh, so be big leagued you?

DR: Yeah.

That nothing compared to stories told right here on NT about Jordan sonning or being just a flat out D*ck and jerk to regular people at casinos, golf courses or his reputation for being a bad tipper.

I think shooting should absolutely be prioritized in any program, as well as constantly working to be a good team defender if not lockdown 1on1, but this is worded poorly.

In addition to what homie mentioned, a lot of players are hot at Cube for excluding them in some investment stuff when it came to the big 3. Apparently promises along those lines weren't kept. Got that from Metta's camp, which is why he dropped out.

Cube will ignore that group chat and texts from players regarding business, but will spam text everyone flyers and stuff to post and promote on IG.

This is terrible, terrible advice.

Yeah once you get into the NBA and you have to find your way to stick, you morph into what you become, for Danny it was a 3 and D guy.

But it's not like Danny can't or never worked on his handle. Everyone does.



Danny wouldn't have made it to UNC let alone the NBA if he couldn't put it on the floor.

I think people take the whole IG trainer / dribbling thing way out of context and it a way people out themselves.

Trainers goals are not to make someone an elite ball handler. That ****'s natural and if you'll only get marginally better at it by the time you hit the NBA.

The goal when you see trainers put guys through dribbling drills is to expose them to the gray areas of basketball, improving their instincts so they're comfortable in uncomfortable situations.
