my coworker is saying the lakers are peaking too early and should be going 2-3 if they want to win so they won’t get burnt out ..... fam what ? Lol

some people seem to have this thought that the Lakers are going all in for these wins or that their peaking when in all truthfulness, outside of Rondo's shooting from three there's nothing out of the ordinary about what Lakers players are producing. I still think there's a lot we could improve on & things that will naturally become better with familiarity & time.

Vogel has done a good job managing minutes for all our guys and hasn't forced anything. I would like to see Bron/Ad get a night off against some of the bottom feeders, but i also like the strategy of them suiting and playing 25 minutes in a blowout.

Either way the better they get out on this start the more they could rest towards the end of the season where a lot of teams have their seeds locked up & bottom feeders are basically holding tryouts. Our schedule at the end of the year seems to be pretty weak & i see a lot of opportunities for rest before the playoffs if we handle our business right.

I don't think the Lakers paid enough for AD.
Lonzo & BI ultimately served their purpose to the Lakers organization at the end of the day, similar to Demar Derozan & Toronto.

Boosted your trade value high enough to draw a superstar.

They crazy crazy. I thought the US was bad with the OD patriotism stuff.

Hassan doing just enough to get cashed out again

Nets :pimp:

Might have a tough decision to make with Wilson Chandler coming back from suspension.

Shump and Nwaba HAVE to stay. Their defense and overall energy has been infectious.
Nwaba is such a great glue guy man

The Rockets are willing to give up more future assets for roster help right now, league sources say. Houston will most likely target wing players on the market.

Whiteside was always going to be a mistake. He helps teams lose games when he gets valuable minutes even when his box score looks appealing.
Guys who put up numbers but can't impact the game are always intriguing to me. I just wonder how they can manage both at the same time

Iggy?

Lakers are looking scary good right now.

Our guard rotation seems set with Harden, Westbrook, Gordon, Rivers. Adding to House, McLemore, Thabo, and Tucker is where we desperately need help if we're going to compete with the Lakers and Clippers. We need a backup 3/4 or 4/5. Someone to basically fill PJ Tucker's role, or be what Ariza/LMAM were for us a few years ago. I don't think JR Smith, Nick Young, or most other guards fill that need.

Unless Jaxon Hayes turns into the millennial Hakeem Olajuwon, the Pels definitely got fleeced in the AD deal. That said, NO didn’t have a lot of options or leverage with Klutch scaring other teams off from making offers.

Y’all aren’t competing with the LA teams in the postseason if Westbrook is your starting PG.

They actually have all their own firsts for the foreseeable future other than a pick swap in a year or two I think.

They definitely have the ammo to get someone between the picks and Nene’s $10M expiring.

Mook would be perfect for them.

Interesting. I remember damn near everybody in here when the trade finally went down being that the Lakers gave up too much and bigging up the young core after ****ting on them the entire time while they were in the purple and gold.
