The Walking Dead - Official Thread

The human mouth is full of bacteria. Zombie plague or not, if a person bites a plug out of you and it's left untreated, it will eventually become infected and you will die. Now factor in a rotting zombie biting a plug out of you with all kinds of funk in its mouth.
Word to David Lee elbowing Wilson Chandler in the mouth which led to a Staph infection

thing about zombies, outside of the literal reanimation factor, the body still has to play by certain rules. Our bodies rot fast af without formaldehyde. muscles disappear without the proper nutrition. Just look at the populations of the poorer countries. And they're alive. 6 months of straight rotting and outdoor conditions, the body would be subjected to the same weathering and erosion the environment is. The meat on the human leg would disintegrate. the knee would be bone on bone like brandon roy. as would all of the other joints and ligaments. and dont get my started on what dehydration would do. These bodies would be dust.

But I digress.

The rules of the body says they shouldn't be walking around either. Kirkman has said that whatever is making them walk around and eat things, also prevents their body from rotting away. He may go more into it later in the story(comics).

Finally caught the first episode of FTWD.

Randy Wagstaff finally gets a win, although marginally since he didn't eem kiss the girl. Michael Lee still won for smashing those 90210 girls.

Anyways, it was a pretty good episode; better than what we've seen on TWD so far.

People who get bit on places like their hand still die. A bite, no matter the size, will kill people. It just takes longer for them to die. There's no recovery at all. When they cut Hershey's leg off it helped stop the spreading. Think of it like a really bad form of MRSA. Those antibiotic resistant strains will eventually spread and kill people unless you amputate that area.

The thing about zombies is... they're not real.

It's just captures the imagination, and becomes believable.

Everything Freeze said is pretty much true, scientifically.

They fire bombed ATL thinking it would kill the zombros but the government ****** up and ended up killing more folks and creating a bigger herd of zombros. Remember when Rick ran to the tank and found my Asian bro

This is how it all went down before TWD so the people getting "sick" w/ the flu are dying and turning into zombies but people don't believe it just yet.
