^ He stepped down from his post as president at Bayern. He's also accepted his sentence & will not appeal the verdict.

Edit - RVP sending his child to City for his football education. :D Phil Neville has his son there too.

Eiddy, you think if Man U lose against Olympiacos at home Moyes is finished?

I think he's done then and there. He almost has to be.

I can't see United/Glazers paying Moyes for another 5 years if they fire him this year... That's a lot of dough to flush away & also looks terrible publicly. Also, should the need arise you should only fire him if you have the next candidate lined up.

That will be the nail in his coffin. After that he's got City and West Ham away. Both tough games. City will come out guns blazing and will try to embarrass United, West Ham will construct a fort in front of goal.

I can't see him coming back from that. I think he's done for in the summer.

Why give this man 200m pound kitty, when he choses players like Young over Cleverley? Or doesn't even give a chance to someone like Willy Z? Or, gets his tactics wrong every single game that he plays? Or how about changes his starting like up by like 3+ players or more every single week (even after a rare win?)?

If he's not getting the basics right, it will be cheaper in the long run to fire him now, and bring someone else in who can win/secure CL (which is A LOT of money btw).
I've said before, there's contractual obligations to these lucrative sponsorship deals (I remember someone on here saying that deals were signed ages ago, so they'll be fine), but United just signed their new shirt deal a few weeks ago.

So let's say United lose to Olympiacos & they fire Moyes. Who will United realistically be able to hire? Please don't say Klopp. I don't think he's remotely interested in coming to the Prem, at least not yet. I think United were one of the clubs that approached him last year that he mentioned.

BTW, no Kaiser Chiefs gifs? I would love to see some with this cool kits in action...

Remember not too long ago all you United fans were happy to have Moyes and wanted him instead of Mourinho. :lol

I think he'll be gone by the summer too if they lose against Olympiciakos. They won't fire him on the spot, you're right about that, but he'll be as good as dead.

Who knows, maybe Fergie comes back for a year or two, get someone to be his assistant and groom him. Maybe an outside hire, but anyone, I mean anyone would be better at this point :lol

The chatter is Van Gaal/ De Boer since those two are readily avail. Obviously Klopp is the dream, but I've already said numerous times in this thread, it won't happen now.

I still wouldn't want Mourinho at United today.

I don't think United would be able to afford all of his transfer requests.

Fergie won't come back. Too much risk in that. If he doesn't come back and BEAST, it will leave a bad mark on his stellar career. It's not worth it for him.

Now that Jose is gone, the Madrid based media is back to trying to create controversy for Barca again by constantly reporting Messi will be gone in the summer as will his Argentine compatriot Tata.

I'll admit I like Tata. He's been given some lemons so to speak & asked to make lemonade. Years of neglect - bad signings, not promoting within, & not making the signings needed have started to take their toll on the team. You can also see a "fat cat"/complacency in some veteran players that should be the middle of their primes.

If Barca does fire Tata, I would be disappointed. I hope he stay & get's to shape the squad to fit his vision. I think he's done an admirable job.

If it does happen though, the only coach I'd want at Camp Nou is Frank de Boer. I love what's he done at Ajax. He's melded the best of Cruyff & van Gaal into his coaching philosophy.

Lol wut

We've sold more players under Jose than we've bought.

And what does that have to do with him buying lots of players if he was managing Manchester United?!?!?

Anyone who has watched any Mourinho team, knows the kind of players that he wants/likes. United doesn't have enough of those players. Thus him managing United would mean a really long shopping list.

I BEEN saying that Arsenal needs to hire new doctors, therapists, nutritionists, strength and conditioning trainers!

Messi is more Spanish than he is Argentinian. He moved away when he was what? 6?

Argentinians don't even like Messi like that

Argetines don't hate Messi. My family has been close to 2 Argentine families for over 35+ years. Members of those families go back every other year & stay for long periods of time. There are haters there but no different from any other country that has a segment of football fans that hate Messi. It would be more accurate to say there are bigger fans of the Boca Jrs., San Lorenzo, etc but to say Argentines hate Messi is way off base.

Isn't or wasn't a some point in time Tevez the "people's champ" or is it Kun?

It was Tevez but after picking a few choice words to describe playing for the national team, after not being selected for a while, the title is no longer his.

Messi is considered one of the reasons tevez will not be called up again.

I wish Messi would leave Barca, what else is there to accomplish. Take a challenge somewhere else. He'll never do it tho. He's been in Spain since he was 13 y/o tho not 6.

I no doubt think he'll go play in Argentina one day. When he's old.

The Terry Family: Equal Opportunity Racists

LONDON (AP) — The father of Chelsea captain John Terry was accused Monday of headbutting an Asian man outside a pub and hurling a racist insult at him in a dispute over a cigarette.

Edward Terry appeared in a court in London after being charged with racially aggravated common assault and racially aggravated fear or provocation of violence during a night out on March 22 last year.

Prosecutors said Terry assaulted and verbally abused a man because he didn't offer him a cigarette, and then allegedly racially abused a cleaner at a railway station in central London on the same night.

Terry denies the charges.

John Terry, a former captain of England's national team, was banned for four matches in September 2012 for racially abusing an opponent during a Premier League game.

Manchester United are like the Lakers of the 2014 campaign. Except Mike D'antoni is not stupid enough to continuously blow steam up the Laker nation's poopshoot like Moyes is idiodically trying to do in Manchester.

Does Moyes not realize "we played well, we grew into the game, and we were very much in the game except for the 3 times the opponents hit the back of the net" is not a valid excuse this far along in the season.
