Although i liked today's line-up for Barca, i don't think Tata will use that at Citeh. Xavi will come in and Neymar will sit to start. Adriano should start over Alba too.

What the hell happened at the Villareal game?

Some idiot threw a can of tear gas on the pitch like in the 84th minute, and the ref called the game. Villareal was losing 0-1, they looked horrible with Gio playing as a 9 instead of the wing. Uche was out due to injury, and so was Aquino. Perbet looked awful :x

Thanks. That's a beautiful pitch compared to the poverty piece of grass where we run. Where in LA is that?

It's a small artificial turf pitch. When a lot of us show up, we'll run 6 vs 6. 10 minute games, or first to two goals. Funny part is that it's in south central LA. We used to play in marina Del Rey, but a lot of people started showing up.

Agreed. I was hoping Barca would come out like this today against one of the worst defenses in La Liga. Some great passing & also guys making the right runs. It's so good to see Iniesta out there. He had this nice back heeled pass to Cesc that started a break.

It was also good to see Puyol not only wearing the captain's arm band but running with full abandon & tackling. Having said that however, I hope Bartra plays on Tuesday.

Edit - Aside from the goal, I liked the way Adriano played today.

Agreed. When I lived in LA we never had a field like that. I played on Whitsett and Vanowen LOL ghetto Fab

Now in the bay i find nicer fields cuz it rains more and people respect the turf when they are repairing it.

Really?

You boys are probably gonna end up with 0 titles this year, while we are still in competition for 2. That four point lead over us won't last long plus you boys still have to play us at home.

You think they are in competition for the Scudetto? :{

I could careless if we end up with tittles or not, it's Roma i'm used to it.

Only thing that's looked good for Napoli this season was their CL group stage run.

Just watched the Barca Rayo match. Cesc and Iniesta in midfield were cooking. Neymar getting a nice goal in his first game back. Messi brace. Nice tune up for city

Would like to see Bartra and Adriano start on Tuesday. Interested to see the 11 Martino puts out

I think Adriano is full back through & through. Aside from the goal, he played well as the left back yesterday but you have to temper the fact that Barca played a bottom of the table team (or maybe second from the bottom). I'm ok with the full backs Barca has but I'd like to see Barca get 2 CBs. Bartra is the only keeper for me. As much as I love the captian Puyol, I think this should be his last year.

Barca will give Man City a beatdown too

I hope you're right... This round of the CL will be a good test for Tata to see where the team really is. I think Tata has done very well in La Liga play.

I wonder if abovelegit's boy Gerry is ready to play for the Toffees in the FA cup match against Swansea today? Would be a great game for him to come back to...

Sitting in his locker, apologizing to family/team/etc. on Twitter.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has taken to Twitter to issue an apology after he was caught having an affair in a hotel room.

The Frenchman was pictured in his underwear by national newspaper the Sunday Sun, and the forward moved to claim that he will have to "fight for forgiveness" following the sordid revelations.

He wrote: "I apologise to my wife, family and friends and my manager, team-mates and Arsenal fans.

"I now have to fight for my family and for my club and obtain their forgiveness. Nothing else matters at the moment."

Giroud's side host Liverpool in the FA Cup this afternoon.
