I don't think Cesc is going anywhere either. Song and Tello have to go this summer. Bring in a central midfielder and have Mascherano go back to defensive mid. I would be curious to see how Busquets and Masche do in a double pivot. Xavi running the show as normal but having Rafinha back him up, often.

Deulofeu would be nice too. I'm still not sure why Tello and Sergi Roberto were kept instead of Rafinha and Deulofeu. Tello struggles for playing time and Sergi seems like his isn't fitting well into the system we have right now. I know he is good when attacking players like Iniesta, not really from a Xavi-type of postition, so maybe he could roam in a 3-4-3 better?

Well Roberto was shamefully used by the board when Thiago was sold in the whole, "we don't need him, we have Sergi Roberto!" narrative. Granted, he deserved a chance to show his worth, but I have yet to see anything from him to suggest he warrants a prominent place in the side. The 343 would theoretically allow the side more control in midfield - as a box to box player could be shoehorned into midfield to go along with the holding and two creative mids. Alternatively, you could play a 9 in front of Messi, so the possible variations would make it worth exploring imo.

He's been a "star" player since he was 9 years old & his ego was apparently huge then. I've personally watched his selfish play with the U19 Spanish teams which won the Euro's in 2011 & 2012. He'd admonish players for not passing him the ball & coaches when subbed off. He'd dribble right past open team mates. Talk trash on the field by asking opposing players if they wanted a pic & autograph after the match.

If 9 years of La Masia didn't teach him any sense of humility than I don't know what will. The part that kills me is that he won't pass if he thinks he can lead with the ball. I've heard talk that he will most likely stay at Everton for a second year.

Also logistically, where would be possibly play? Several players would most likely need to be off loaded. Hubris by his name got it tattoo'd across his forehead...

They don't have humility classes at La Masia. :lol He has shown flashes of arrogance as a teen, but there isn't a teammate with a bad word to say about him, and he's still maturing on and off the pitch. There are countless examples of young players who try to do to much early in their careers but go on to become great; CR comes to mind. Zero chance he gets sold.

Speaking of Zidane

He was incredible in this game and tournament. Which is odd, because for well over a year before that he looked done and had no drive or energy. A more cynical person would suspect something was off... :lol

Must win for United to even have a chance to go to the CL next year.

Goes without saying. Lets see how they respond.

Why on earth did RVP not finish that?

Why on earth is the central GAAAWD Mata on the right?

Why is Valencia on for Januzaj?

Why is Cleverley a professional footballer?

Why is Jadakiss as hard as it gets?
