The titanic vol. lost

At that depth the implosion reportedly also would've happened so fast that you're already disintegrated before your body has time to experience pain.

One thing I seen said at those depths implosion happens at about 1500 mph. The doctor on CNN said that it would happen faster then your brain would be able to register pain.

He lost me at the "this is the remote" portion of the first and only video I watched of Him.....

That was a damned ATARI controller.
We had a dude who worked here a month back(got fired) and he was showing me something he built in his daily driver, it had a PS2 remote control wired in, you gotta see this video, I will find it.
But that is the mess this OCEANGATE dude was on, and people actually got on.....
I'm never amazed at what I see and hear.
People see someone with an ivy league degree and all common sense goes out the window. They automatically assume they are in safe hands and don't question the most basic things.

See this shhh all the time :{

How they found it 1600 ft of the bow the titanic after it impoded by aint seen it the 3 days prior?

Such a sad yet ridiculous situation. I guess the biggest questions I have are 1 - will OceanGate shut down? (I'm gonna guess yes) and 2 - will there be criminal charges made against the company?

1. YES
2. I say MAYBE, it seems that the company (Rush) disclosed a lot via paper and lied off of it (I have yet to see any proof of the claims they say Rush made that were misleading)

I still can’t wrap my head around folks seeing **** like this, and then willingly signing themselves up to go to the depths of the ocean in it. :smh: :smh:

The questionable choices and lack of judgment from every party involved in this (minus the teenager) are truly wild.

The thing is, the folks who decided to sign up for these voyages (the ones that were previously successful and this one) weren't privy to the fact that hand ratchets or low-grade materials were used. These things typically don't reveal themselves until catastrophic events when everyone takes a deeper look. It's not really fair to say "See! They should have known!" because really only manufacturer's, in this case Rush, know that level of detail but even then he was able to pull this off successfully so that assuages the concerns of potential customers.

I am not familiar with the structure or the materials but as a few in here have mentioned, it was probably due to fatigue and damage from repeated missions. It's compounded if he was using the same vessel for missions of varying durations and the mission specifics not being repeatable/the same which makes it more difficult to accurately predict failure anyway. The calculation (CALCULATION, NOT EVEN TEST!!) about the remaining air was probably off as well.
