rolex rumored to release a land dweller

definitely have my doubts, when was even the last time they released a new sports model? the ym2 back in 2007?

land dweller also sounds like a dumb name  like your one of the mole people or something

My AD believes Rolex has trademarked the name, preventing others from using it. He doesn’t think anything is releasing.

We will see..

really surprised that many still have need seen a GS in person at least in the watch world

recently visited an omega boutique to check out some new watches and i was wearing the sbgw231

when i took it off, the sales associate was impressed by the GS so i told her to go ahead and try it on and while i was checking out the omegas, another SA came over to check out the GS and i told him to go ahead and try it on too if he wants to and next thing i know, my watch was on another table with a bunch of other SAs huddled around the GS checking it out

i know that some of these SAs are only there to sell watches and its just a job to them but i was still quite surprised to see that this seems to be their first time seeing a GS in person especially when theres a WoS in the same mall that has their own GS store

GS popularity has definitely grown but i think many still see it as a “seiko”, a brand that can be bought at department stores for cheap so they disregard it but a GS is just on a different level

the GS does look good in pics but much better in person despite its simplicity

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one on another person’s wrist in the wild, outside of my AD.

I love the way the SBGW line fits - the 37mm case is perfect for my wrist.

Hey I have guy that wants to sell me a Christopher ward c63 automatic , white dial for $600. Wondering if I should buy it? It’s the 39mm, beautiful piece still but need some advice lol.

id personally pass but look around how much it is going for in the secondary market

i think CW occasionally have 20%-25% off discounts on their website

Love seeing Seiko and Grand Seiko pieces in here. Been eyeing out some GS styles, checked out a local AD but feels like I'd have to revisit again and again to finalize my decision.

that is funny because i believe Cartiers prive collection for this year and to be revealed next week at Watches and Wonders is the Tank Guichet which is their jump hour (also ironic enough, the tonneau shape is very reminiscent of the Cartier Tortue and FPJ Elegante)

A tonneau jump hour is fun, I like both Maen’s and Cartier’s.

Not at the point in my collection that I’d cop one, but I like seeing brands try some different stuff.

for $1100, its not too bad

sucks that it does have a chinese movement, its about +/- 45-55 seconds a day and i am not a fan of cts straps (because im gon mess it up for sure  )

also wish it curved a bit to hug the wrist - could also be thinner as a smaller watch like this looks big even at less than 10mm especially when the crown is kind of small

also, seems like you gotta have really good eyes to be able to tell the time

Nico’s new jump hour watch

I personally would never buy anything associated with this guy. Not only is he obnoxious but seems to be trying to politicize the watch space on the sly.

It seems more of these watch YouTubers are being more brazen with their political views potentially alienating their audience.
