How I decided to spend my day. Got to spend some time talking to former co-workers and people I would cal friends and check out the new location. I do truly miss working with them and do appreciate the opportunity they gave me entering the footwear industry.

On another note, my probation/legal issue should end this upcoming Tuesday. Also had an interview here in the Houston area for an assistant manager position at Reebok and really hoping I get that position. Otherwise, might have to pivot a bit.

Should be a very eventful September for me no doubt.

Today was so damn hot (114 degrees) I saw a man getting CPR in the parking lot of the thrift store I visited. He was changing a tire when I walked by him and by the time I came back out he was getting chest compressions by a security guard while another man was keeping his airway open and a third was fanning him with a cardboard sign. Thankfully the fire department is just down the street and arrived in minutes. My bro and I moved the car immediately so there would be zero delay. We didn’t stick around but I hope he made it and has a quick recovery.

1. They just give you the money in good faith. If for some reason that check doesn't go through, they'll take the money back.
2. Was this check that got put on hold around about the same amount as the ones you mobile deposited?

I knee as I was reading those yesterday, everything about it made sense, but I could not remember why.

Chase Bank is referring check fraud 'glitch' incidents to authorities

A recent viral trend on social media encouraged people to deposit checks for amounts they didn't have, and withdraw money before the checks bounced.

Basically, someone posted on TikTok if you deposite a fake check, Chase will give you the cash. And folks did it. Without shame. What's real and what's fake, I'm not sure, but after this was common knowledge and Chase began to fix the issue, one cat posted his account was 46,000 in the negative due to this scam.

So sounds to me like Chase is gonna wait for the funds on all checks to be cleared before they make it available for users.
