I'm friends with a doctor and she says they do this all the time.
She has also told me that doesn't mean they're just going to look up 'tracheatotomy' on YouTube and then cut you open like that had no what a trach was before looking it up. She said the main reason they look stuff up is to see if someone else has a more advanced method for the many different elements to even a simple surgery.
They have the skills and medical knowledge far more than some Joe Schmo on the couch, but she has told me that they do look stuff up.

Interest rates I think. I know a lot of guys who went out of town because it’s so slow the company took work wherever which is Colorado and Texas.
