the thread about nothing...

I like jimmy johns the best out of the fast food sandwich shops. Although their menu is tiny
Would take Firehouse Subs or Jersey Mikes over them easily. It's solid for the price though, especially after working there for almost 4 years lol.

I walked into a gas station with my coworker and three subway fresh bread aroma was ALL in the atmosphere. My coworker read my mind and said 'it smells good in here'. I went to investigate and saw that the subway portion looked very neat and tidy and the lady working there seemed like she was doing a great job and had a good personality, so l felt like it was cool to cop from there. Glad l did.
I get subway like once a year. Always regret it.

Restaurants in gas stations also weird me out. It shouldnt...but it does.

Never had Firehouse but Im not a fan of Jersey Mikes. Real stingy with the protein
Had firehouse once. Had to be a work function. Was okay.

I like jersey Mike's cuz they run a 5 after 5 promo. By a giant sub get a 2nd giant sub for 5 bucks. Jersey Mike's is inconsistent. Sometimes lots of meat. Sometimes.l very little.

All this sandwich talk and no mention of a.......Mexican torta!

Happy Friday TAN fam!

No lie, torta is probably the GOAT sandwich. Its just not something commonly on my mind.

There was this place by our old office location, Tito’s Market. Bomb @ $ $ milanesa torta!
You still go there or is it too far from your place?

Milanesa sounds good right about now. I haven’t picked that one in years since I usually do Al Pastor.

So had some good luck today.

One of my previous managers I used to work with at Stein Mart put in a good word for me as far as getting the promotion for assistant manager. Had the interview today and I think it went really well. No confirmation yet, but was told they'll let me know within a week. If I do get it, I'll end up working under this same manager again at my new store location.

Naw. It’s kind of out of the way. Hopefully it’s still there. Maybe next time if I’m coming from the LA area, I’ll stop by. It does sound good right about now though.:pimp:

I've always loved Subway tuna. A lot of people are against it lol, some even say it's not tuna at all. There is a Subway literally right next door to the gym I go to & the aroma of fresh bread being baked sneaks itself in all the time. I be hitting up that Subway more often than I should lol. They changed their veggie patty supplier. I don't taste the difference but my brother & his wife swear it sucks now. Anyone try mustard on their tuna? Hits pretty good imo. Remembering that Paul Walker & Mia tuna scene now lol.

My brothers and sister loves it. Me not so much.

Prefer the oven roasted with ranch.
What other topping do you put in yours? Just the basic lettuce, tomatoes and onions to go with the Ranch dressing?

Is this how they used to cut it? I never knew

Yup. I’m not quite sure when they stopped doing that.

Anyone remember Quizno's? They're long gone now in my area but less than 250 scattered thru the U.S. As a kid I used t get so excited watching my sub go on the conveyor belt into the heater to get warmed up lol.

Quiznos was pricey. What separated them was they toasted their subs. I don’t think any other sandwich chain at that time was doing it. I went there a couple of times. Wasn’t bad.
