I feel like you should be able to buy a house with 5-7 years of your income. This makes no sense people are going to work 20+ years to pay off a house.

It just hit me yesterday how hard Chevy fell off. I had a 03 impala and loved it until I wrecked it

The American economy has gotten so bad. It used to be you could own a nice house with just one person having a job.
Imagine if it was still like that these days. With 2 people working you could pay off your house in 13 years or less
That said I don't think I don't see myself becoming a homeowner unless a miracle happens and I raise a family. I have my sights on purchasing a condo.

There are pros and cons to both. But does a complex typically still have owners for the building as a whole? What happens if they want to sell or break down the complex even if you bought a unit?
