Not similar to your situation but I'm about to buy a car at the end of the month and will be officially in debt. Don't like being in dept but just gotta do what you gotta do.


I would have gone for a trade as oppose to a degree. I took a few college course but knew that 10-15k for school was not possible.


just do what you think you can man don't kill yourself, you will def get a decent job and pay everything off.

Not suicidal yet its just the weight of life is really coming down. If I don't get into grad school I will be grabbing certifications left and right for a year while staying at my grandmothers. My mom said she would pay half of the 55K but I doubt she will pay the full 27K but it should buy me time to get set up.

You are truly lucky that you have family to help you out.

Man that's 100% understandable. Most if not all people feel like that at some point. I mean your doing school on your own which is a struggle so I'm sure you want to do other things by yourself.

i'm writing a 8-10 paper due at 1pm today. 3 pages done so far. i'm beyond exhausted and will most likely pull an all-nighter, but you just gotta do what you have to do.

Well I graduate with my BS in Biology in Dec. I'm 55 grand in the hole and I need a bunch of certificates to get a job or graduate school. Calculated my cost and for me to live somewhat a comfortable life in GA it would require 40K a year to pay bills, save up and play this debt down by $600 a month.

I'm scared this will not work out. HOW DO PEOPLE DO THIS?

My mom had never graduated college and knew nothing of the process. I basically did it all on my own. Graduated from Drexel University $80k in debt. I have been paying $1,200 a month since i graduated and i will be doing that until i am 35 years old (26 now). I have been lucky enough to land a good job but its sad what i make vs how i am living.

The main thing i learned is don't stress. Set up a workable budget and live by it the best you can. This is NT so you have to say don't get caught up in any hype and make unnecessary purchases. If your loans are private call them and tell them your situation. A lot of times they will lower your interest rate's temporarily until you can get on your feet. Do not take no for an answer they are a button click away from making your life a lot easier....so just keep calling and don't get off the phone until they agree. College loan interest is tax deductible so if you can get your interest rate's low it is actually worth it to keep the debt outstanding for as long as possible.

@parada45  go see a doctor, that doesn't sound good. Ankle injury in July and knee pain in November. That doesn't sound good. Pain travels upward because you're compensating. If you keep it up, your hip will start hurting.
