Akira, Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scrolls are all out of that generation. Somewhere in the middle of the Dragonball Z/Pokemon era it all became about socially awkward, unsuspecting kids being the only one able to save the world and it lost me.

Whatever anime these gifs comes from has peaked my interest doe.

Anyone remember that "Anime Festival" sci-fi channel had around 95, 96, 97ish? I wish I could find ANY of the movies they showed.

Just found a big spider in my bedroom.

I was thinking "I should catch it and release it outside, I mean... it's not the spiders fault he came in here. I shouldn't kil..." and just then it came down on his evil web and I immediately killed it.

Handled it like a man, though. Had on yellow dishwashing gloves, used Windex, and smacked it with a big book on Eisenhower. I'm pretty proud of myself.

Daggar of Kamui is the first anime i ever seen, thats was so old it took me years to find out what it was since I never knew it by name as a kid

I used to watch Tank Police back then too

Could never get into the DBZ/Pokemon era...I always caught episodes here and there

Then FMA came around, Instantly hooked

Your post got me thinking, I don't even know what the first anime I ever saw was. I don't even really know how I found out about anime, I just always remember knowing about it.

The earliest encounter with anime that I can remember is that there was an old rock song that had anime in the video. Even then, I knew it was anime.
