Mario 3/world (they're both at the top for similar yet separate reasons)How would y'all rank the top 3 Mario games of all time?
I stopped after N64, so my frame of reference is limited to how EYE felt while playing each.
EYE honestly don't even count Mario 2 in the group because of what it actually is/was.For me its

Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World are top for me, with SMW slightly being better due to being able to navigate the whole map whenever.
They both are unique, in that SMB3 has a variety of items with an item bank, and SMW has Yoshis with different powers. Love the music and visuals, timeless for me. Also love the creativity of the Star world
I grew up on the All-Stars btw. SMB1 and 2 are still great, just more linear. SMB2 has a certain charm to it, but as mentioned above it being a “reskin“, it didn’t feel like it fit in as much
