Dude them cats are mad overrated and you know it. Jay receives his fair share of hate so I wouldn't really say him but everybody else yea.

I don't see why he would lock this thread. Other than my J. Dilla (who is obviously a favourite on here) and penis posts, we not really doing anything wrong. I didn't even know there was a thread like this already :|
After reading all of your replies in here I can see why Andretti feels that way.

I'll agree and say jay z and nas aren't the same as they were when they first started to come up.. but they're grown men. They arent supposed to speak about the street life anymore. Dilla is the best producer ever. Hands down. His samples and ear for beats is iconic, a lot of hip hop producers strive to have the same sound as him or look up to him and his sound. Doom isn't for everyone, his flow and his samples are unorthodox but that's what makes him great. RZA isn't overrated because he's not even considered by some to be "rated". Wu is the epitome of 90's rugged hip hop.

My favorite Dilla beat :hat :

It was only until I tried to recreate it that I gained a true appreciation for what a masterpiece it is.

Legit question. What makes that great. I'm not saying it's bad in any way, but what's great about it?
