I wouldn't consider being humiliated and thinking you won, only to have them take away your awards and give them to somebody else as "having their moment".
I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Why would a company intentionally make themselves look incompetent? It was the very end of an award show, where there is no incentive for them to do something like this. If it was the first award, with the intent of drawing in viewers it might be plausible. But there are screen shots of him having the wrong envelope. Seems like just a mistake, and I don't understand why people want to make it something bigger than that.

They handed him the wrong envelope. It doesn't have to be a huge conspiracy to make white people happy for La La Land getting more shine. How is going on the stage and then being told nah you didn't win good for anyone? If the conspiracy is true then who planned this out?
