The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I just tried remote play on my Vita and :smoking

it blew my mind how good it looked and how well it worked. I only tried it with Contrast but will try other games later

never played a ff game in my life
THIS they just never caught my attention at all. Im honestly not a huge person on RPGs. Im more of a multiplayer type of dude. Im sure im missing out on awesome games but i will never play them in my life

So aside from the obvious titles coming in the future (InFamous, Destiny, MSG V) what are you guys most looking forward to? Personally Im looking forward to FF XV, Uncharted, & Wolfenstein, hell I'll play any JRPG :lol

FF VIII is total garbage. The only thing 8 has on any other FF is it has the best intro cut scenes of any FF period. Actually, I consider it one of the best game intros of all time.

IX is my favorite FF for numerous gameplay, story points, nostaliga within the series, and personal reasons. I did the EX2 challenge in two nights when I was 16 using a PS1 to do the FVM skip trick. I used copious amounts of sugar, caffeine, and pizza to do it
:lol

notify us of how it is with a console game.

FFVIII soundtrack though >>

Man with the machine Gun
Force your Way
Blue Fields

It was the first FF game I ever played and it hooked me. I hated the way the enemies leveled with your party, because at age 14, I loved grinding levels. :lol I remember one playthrough, this was before Ifrit even, I sat in that forest with the T-Rex just outside of Balamb Gardan for so long I was able to start finding Curaga on enemies.

Beat the game, played every other Final Fantasy I could find, and when IX came out it was a wrap. Vivi, Steiner, Zidane....That game is untouchable to me. So much so I am scared to go back and play it for fear it'll ruin how I think of it. I downloaded it on PS3 and tried for Excalibur II but it was not to be.
Yea man FF IX is underrated if you ask me. For Excalibur didn't you have to get to disc 3 within like 13 hours?

FF VI Soundtrack is unmatched IMO. Nobuo Uematsu is what is missing from current FF games for me, it would definitely make up for some of the linear gameplay lol

I can relate to having a super deep PS3 backlog to work through, but make time for it son. It's good.

That **** doesn't count, b :lol

Only handheld KH games worth mentioning IMO are Chains of Memories for GBA and Birth By Sleep (STILL haven't played this :{) for PSP.
I had to stock up on handheld during my last deployment lol

I just played one match of Kill confirmed on Ghost and it was pretty good. Controls are weird and you could sprint but other then that it was good. I did not notice any lag but i am playing in my room right beside my wifi box.

Vita with the PS4 :smokin

First to Greatness: 64 PS4 Challenges to Test Your Mettle

PS4’s North American launch heralds the dawn of a new gaming generation, and today we’re upping the ante with an interactive event called First to Greatness. Using DualShock 4’s Share button, you’ll capture and upload videos of your conquests across 64 challenges detailed on the First to Greatness site (see the full list here). The challenges are spread across a who’s who of PS4 launch titles including Killzone: Shadow Fall, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, NBA 2K14, and Knack.

Of course, the first player to complete each challenge will earn a spot in PS4 history and some killer bragging rights. But even if you’re not the first to complete a particular challenge, the site will serve as a handy archive of your greatest PS4 accomlishments. Once you’ve completed a challenge and uploaded the video to your Facebook account using DualShock 4’s Share button, submit it to FirstToGreatness.com by signing in with Facebook. Many of your “firsts” will be featured soon in a special remake of PlayStation’s recent “Perfect Day” TV spot. Once a total of 64 “firsts” are achieved within the PlayStation community, the site will unlock a cool new experience — but we’ll leave it to you to discover.

Some of those are crazy. Platinuming Killzone alone is 100+ hours.

Wasn't the Excalibur II run only possible on ps1 because you had to open the console lid during fmv  to stop game time since they were also consider playing time ?

I'd definitely recommend you pick up the Kingdom Hearts HD Remakes for PS3. I never beat KH1 (I was like 11 and lost on the Tarzan level

), but KH2 is one of my favorite games of all time.
I had kingdom hearts 1 for my ps2 and I never beat it either but i def want to go back and beat it lol
