Maybe there's a bunch of peripherals planned for it. I think the DS4 charging cradle uses the EXT port.

That's what I was thinking, but not sure how it would work. Seems like it would kill the DS4 battery life, but the headset could have its own battery.

Just left my local GS they had ds4s in stock didn't cop tho only went to change my bf4 to kz.. But seeing that ds4 was mind boggling was like looking into the future lol it's so close I can smell it lol

We will never know because they removed the port with the new slim Vitas... I'll post a pic of my Vita with the port though.

Vita port isnt a mystery. It was put there so the Vita screen could be displayed on a TV. Sony just never ended up making the cable. And now with Vita TV, its probably never going to come out.

Never knew that, was always a mystery to me. Even the IGN reviewer who was talking about the Slim said something along the lines of. "Ironically Sony removed the mystery port found in the old Vitas".
