Been reading that thread all morning. It's going to be crazy next month.
There's going to be a bloodbath and it's already started with resolution gate and now this.
I'm just going to wait fand see how everything pans out because it's crunch time everywhere for Sony and MS and if they are not ready, it's going to be messy.

They released the 360 with a 33% failure rate didn't they? I wouldn't say this is as bad as that.... so I wouldn't put it past Microsoft.
People were saying Sony tried to wait and see what the One price was so they could undercut Microsoft. Looks like Microsoft wasn't ready to launch this year when Sony said holiday 2013.

If they don't release it, they'll lose money everyday. They probably figured they can launch it with problems, still make money and patch things later than to launch later with less problems and less money.They wouldn't release a console with so many problems would they
The insiders are saying that Sony's Feb reveal caught MS of guard and that's probably what happened. The DRM 180 also wouldn't have helped since they would have had to rewrite a lot of code.

I clicked that neogaf thread and it said everything thing wasn't all good with PS4 either, unless I read it wrong.

Gonna go today and see if gamestop will let me switch my preorder from PS4 battlefield to PS3 version so I can get it at midnight or tomorrow. Then upgrade to PS4 version when it drops .Hoping it's not too late, been busy lately.

They're basically saying PSN will likely be bad at launch. All big online launches are like that unfortunately. Nothing compared to the alleged Xbone problems.

I have a hunch the OS is not the problem but the day one patch is. They probably don't have it close to ready yet.

Yea, It's not all going to be rosy for the PS4 but they described it as teething problems so it'll probably be ironed out by launch.
The console is launching with so many features that they're bound to hit hurdles. Live and PSN when the 360 and PS3 released were barebones compared to these 2.
Would that not be even worse because the patch is needed to let them play games.
From the blog post it does sound like OS problems though

I believe M$ is releasing a major patch release date (as if this wasn't already known) that should address a lot of the issues people are naming.

I'm curious what people are going with for launch titles...I was thinking watch dogs and battlefield, but the former got delayed dans the latter supposedly doesn't look all that great on next gen.
