I wouldn't blame it all on PS4 fans though. Some people just hate the MS' policies on the XBOne. You never saw this with the 360.

The TV is laggy though even in game mode but of course it might not affect you depending on the games you play.

See that's the thing, I was initially gonna spend around 4,000-5,000 on the 4k but I keep hearing there are no good 4k TV's for gaming. I also keep hearing that no games or TV stations take advantage of the 4k technology. So my question is, what should I do?
Plus I want that 240 refresh rate too, and I love 3D.
A nice 50-55inch TV - 3D capable (are the next gen system still 3d capable? If not nevermind) Some of the link you guy have been throwing out are

1080i is no better than 720p honestly.
Also, if you have a budget for 2500 it gives u alot of options. 4k tv for gaming is overkill. Because games have bright saturated colors, you dont want a plasma (so they say) but instead an LED. With all biases aside, Sony, Samsung, Vizio, LG all have pretty much equal failure rates and are highly configurable. If youre looking to hit the max of ur budget with 2500, IMO get the best samsung you can find. Buy it from THEM directly online if you can. TVs in stores get abused, and are often what we'd call B-grades.
In my own personal experience, I have a 2 year old Vizio E-series 42" in my bedroom that works perfecty. I cant tell the difference when gaming on my tv or my friends samsung next door. Youll be ok either way honestly. find an HHGregg and go ham looking at all the TVs side by side. If you want, bring your current system in and have them hook it up to the central hub so u can see it all side by side.

Funny you guys use TVs.. I've being using a monitor for awhile and I love it.. Maybe because I'm used to computer games.. But those who are fps players should consider Asus and benq monitors. I use a 22" monitor with 5ms lag.. Probably cop that Asus with 1ms lag for 130 on new egg..

Yeah, I'm with you I'm that.. For gaming.. More specifically fps games like cod and fb I like to play on smaller screens for a while I was using a 32 but I like anything in the 24-32 range.. For all my other games I play on the 55

Just recently copped a BenQ 24" with i think 1-2 m/s lag. I like gaming on smaller screens instead of bigger screen TVs....gives you a smaller area you have to focus on

The one I posted above is $3500 for the 55 inch and it's a Sony so it'll be good for gaming since the input lag on the screens are low.

Games won't use 4K so while it won't look like native 4K content , it'll be up-scaled so it'll look better than 1080p.
3D gaming never really took off so I doubt we would see that many next gen but the PS4 can do it much better than PS3. Killzone 3 had it but Shadowfall doesn't which shows Sony's attitude towards it. It's probably the same for most devs.
Still, though, Sony is advertising Simulview with the TV and since the TV is 4K each user will see 2 different images in 1080p so 3D isn't dead just yet. They demonstrated it with GT5 at CES this year.

It has Motionflow 960 so yea it's 240hz with all those extras and stuff. Nice for sports
4K content is the main problem though.There aren't many tiles at the moment and Sony's the only one who has a digital service to buy or rent stuff. They sell a 2TB media server which helps since the downloads are large but it isn't cheap. Renting is fine but each 4k film is $30 and the server itself costs $700. :x . A PS4 with a 2TB will wotrkthough so there's that
Sony and Panasonic are developing a disk for it but who knows when that will come out. If I had the money, I'll buy it without hesitation. 4K OLED/CLED is my dream TV but that isn't happening soon so this would do in the mean time if I could afford it
Most of the fighting game tournaments I see use Asus monitors. Lot of people love it for games, hardly any input lag.
I can't do 22 inches though for games though

If you were planning to use a PlayStation Pulse headset with your PS4 at launch, Sony has some bad news. Until there's a system update "in the future" (still time to fix it before November, guys!) you won't be able to use any of the firm's USB headsets with the PlayStation 4, the company told Game Informer. However, any headset that uses a TOSlink cable to feed audio data -- meaning, most cans over $100 -- will still work. You won't be able to use said headphones or Bluetooth to chat, although Astro said it will patch the former in later. Apparently, if you want the PS4 experience to be as or more talkative than the PS3's, you'll have to resort to the pack-in earbud kit.

What about standard/non-proprietary USB and Bluetooth devices? The PS3 is compatible with virtually any USB or Bluetooth headset. Even if it's not made for the PS3, but PC's and phones.
I don't know if I can rock with that headset that's connected to the controller. I wasn't a fan of the headset connecting to the controller with my 360.

The wireless and pulse should work out of the gate I think. It's just won't have the Virtual surround sound and bass impact features. If you connect to PC it works but doesn't have those extras because it doesn't have the drivers.
Probably the same for the PS4. Sucks though.

Generally speaking, will 1080p content look better upscaled on a 4K display than on a 1080p display?
But yeah, I don't see the point of buying a 4K TV just yet. Saw the LG OLED 4K TV the other day, which looked spectacular. Concave, ridiculously thin and with a carbon-fibre back. The demo content looked marvelous, but didn't get to see upscaled 1080p content.

The High end TV's have CPU's in them for algorhithms to upscale so it's just not a case of having 4 pixels for every 1 pixel from a HD signal. It should make things look nicer but it'll depend on the upscaler.
There's also the problem of high input lag with all that processing. I'll have to check what it is for the 4K Sony.
