Preorders sold out everywhere? Finally made the decision to buy one haha.
Yeah.. I finally decided I want one now but I need to find someplace that still has preorders.

If I already pre-ordered, I'm safe right? I originally planned to just walk in to a store and pick one up, but it was sounding more and more like a bad idea as time went on.

I don't even care if I have to wait a couple days for shipping. It's better than getting to a store and seeing a massive group fighting to buy a small allotment. Trying multiple shops and leaving empty handed, having to wait until Christmas time competing with more savages who are trying to buy one.
 
 
Those new Deep Down screen shots look nothing like the reveal trailer. I'm not even surprised, just a little disappointed.

The only game that looks impressive so far across both platforms is Infamous: Second Son. Everything else looks painfully average. 

I don't care about graphics, performance is the key. You need to have games running at 60 FPS at 1080P or higher with no screen tearing and jaggies. It wasn't acceptable this gen and certainly won't be next gen. 

I honestly think Vita TV will be Sony's biggest bomba in history. There's no way you can tell me with a straight face, people will be huddled around their 48 inch HDTV's playing dumbed down portable games while the rest of the world is entering the Next-Gen with the PS4 and Xbone.

Amazon Upgrades Numerous PS4 Standard Editions to Launch Editions

It didn’t take long for Amazon US to sell out of PS4 launch editions, with launch bundles selling out soon after. If you were too late to get a launch edition, but were fast enough to pre-order a standard edition (which are also sold out) through Amazon, you probably thought that you would miss out on the chance to play PS4 this November. Luckily, you may be wrong.

Amazon has upgraded numerous standard edition PS4 orders to launch ones, after they presumably received more stock – something likely helped by the fact that PS4 “production yields have been phenomenal”, according to Jack Tretton. If your order was upgraded, you should have been notified by email.

Of course, if you haven’t pre-ordered anywhere, you may still have a chance to get a PS4 on November 15th. Tretton also revealed that Sony is “holding back some inventory to make sure that people have an opportunity to buy one that comes in on launch day”.

"Since the hardware specs of the PS4 are high and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will use them to their full potential, there will be a large improvement in the number of characters displayed on screen at the same time compared to the PS3 version, and in the quality of each character.


Remote Play with the PS Vita will be fully supported. Yoshida-san makes the example of gathering, fishing, crafting or questing solo while relaxing on the couch on the PS Vita, and then, when the time for party play starts, one can switch to the PS4 to enjoy the challenging dungeon content on the big screen.


A companion app for the PS Vita is planned, including a database and the features of the new Lodestone, but Remote Play is the priority.


It will be possible to point and click in the PS4 version using the touch pad of the DualShock 4, improving the user interface further.


It’ll be possible to upload video using the Share button of the PS4 due to licensing agreements done with voice actors (Japanese laws are rather strict on this), also, videos made with the Share button will be useful to learn how to do difficult high level dungeons.


There will be no change in the content of the game moving from the PS3 version to the PS4 version, as the game will be fully cross platform, so you’ll still be able to play with the same friends.


Yoshida-san encourages players to consider switching to the PS4 version from the PS3 version, because the PS4′s hardware allows for an impressive performance, much better graphics and displaying 100 or 200 people at the same time on the screen. The passage will be immediate and seamless because the servers are the same and transferring character data is not necessary.


When asked about his point of view as a creator on what he likes the most of the PS4 Yoshida-san responded that it’s the memory size, because it gives more freedom of expression and design. You can create higher quality characters and levels. He also appreciates the wider choices of play style represented by the share button, Remote Play and companion apps. He feels that the PS4 will test the development team, making things easier and harder at the same time."

You wont be able to till its released maybe next year. Its not for sure itll release for the ps4 tho.

If you wana play it day one, you need a ps3 or 360.

The game is set in New York, year 2094. The members of a group called “Ravens” (the players) have the special ability to travel back in time by reading the memory of items and listening to the voice of the past. They can travel to the past by using the information they read from the items.


The game is called a “Reading RPG” for two reasons: first because of the idea of “reading memories” mentioned above, and then because of the theme of “reading emotions” The emotional theme comes from the fact that various dungeons correspond to different emotions. For instance by touching a statue and reading its emotions one can feel the grudges of a vicious mind that will then characterize the resulting dungeon.


The theme of “knowing the truth of the past” is also present, and that’s the Ravens’ purpose.


Capcom wanted to make an online only game to do something different from the past experiences of Monster Hunter and Dragon’s Dogma, in order to enjoy the online gameplay without restriction, on a platform (the PS4) that has an inseparable relationship with online gaming.


By playing with friends one can exchange the information gathered from dungeons and further the investigation of the mystery behind Deep Down.


It’s still possible to play solo, and gamers should begin like that in order to get familiar with the game, then they should challenge the dungeons alongside other Ravens.


Ono-san wants to reduce the barriers between players and online gameplay, in order to reassure those that are hostile to the idea of always online games.


Since players are supposed to play the game for a long time, like most online games, large updates have already been scheduled, and they will happen on a regular basis. Capcom will continue to develop the game after release in order to let players feel the changes regularly.


There will be a beta after the release of the PS4, and Ono-san wants it to begin as soon as possible.


Sony has created an easy development environment for the PS4, and that’s a welcome change.


The quality showcased in the PlayStation Meeting in February was reached considerably quickly, and things like 60 frames per seconds are relatively easy to achieve.


The automatic generation of dungeons is achieved thanks to the power of the PS4. It’s not completely random, but automatically generated according to certain parameters. Since the PS4 has specs similar to a PC, dungeons can be generated like this thanks to its memory capacity and computing speed.


The representation of environments is close to photo realistic, and elements like degradation of weapon and armor will also be displayed graphically. The PS4 is able to calculate the accumulation of mold, dirt and rust on equipment and display it on the textures, giving you the sensation that those items really exist in the world.


The light bar on the DualShock 4 will represent the emotions of the dungeon being played. When a Raven listens to the voice of the past, it will come from the speaker on the controller, in order to increase immersion. The touchpad will also be used for tactile features.


Remote play with PS Vita will be fully supported in order to play the game more comfortably. The team is also thinking on how to use smartphone and tablets.

All my interest in this game evaporated once these new screens and information came out. Sounds like Capcom's version of Assassin's Creed.

I have all my old PlayStation's. Backwards compatibility is nice, but if you still have the old games, you probably have the systems that go with them. Neither of the new consoles have native BC. You buy the new systems to play the new games, no one is being cut off from anything.
