The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Not done yet, went to bed at midnight with 3 hours left to transfer to my PC.  I'm doing the whole xfer to PC then xfer to old HDD and restore from there.  I didn't wanna lose PT.  Now I'm stuck at work

I'll def be on this weekend and the upcoming weeks.  Get your operators up.
Is there a guide online for the way you're upgrading? Never heard of transfering all data to the PC and then transferring it back.

Ps4 is plugged into a surge protector..then I turn it off then switch the surge protector off..no issues

I never played FF7 growing up

I know I know don't kill me

I am playing it now for the first time because I know I missed out

Can someone school me on how to level up Materia?

Equip the material to your weapons or armor, and fight

Some enemies give more points, some weapons and armor do as well

Some weapons have little link looking slots so you can add "all" materia combined with let's say restore and you heal all your team during battle

After battles, you'll earn exp and AP. The materias that are equipped will accumulate AP. Once you master a materia (max stars) it will reach its full stat potential as well as  you'll gain a new one of that same materia.  You can not grow that materia anymore once its max of course.... but also be careful of the weapon and armor you have equipped because some will not permit materia growth; however, some will double or triple the growth of the materia (much later in the game and some side quests)

Linking elemental to fire, lightning etc...can yield benefits as well.

Think I'll be feeling the same way when Uncharted 4 comes out.

Crap, I didn't know there was some weapons and armor that don't permit Materia growth.

I'm going to have to review what I have equipped on my characters.

It's hard to get into if you didn't play it when the graphics were top-notch. But you're in a good situation since they're remaking it.
