I agree but since the ENTIRE game is leaked on youtube, everyone get a big grasp on the game. People should be able to make a decision without being influenced by other people's opinions especially now since they're going to pay off the big websites for a positive review based on the outcry. There's 3 hours of cutscenes, 1 hours of QTE's, and 1.5 hours of actual gameplay. I've played the game myself almost to completion and watched the youtube video to validate it's authenticity--it's the real deal. Even if you take your time you won't ever go over 6 hours. It's kind of like a theme park ride.
I don't want to come across as defending these companies at all, nor do I want to come across as confrontational. I agree with alot of points brought up in here about this issue.
That said, the only thing companies care about it money. You don't like the length? Don't buy it. They'll get the hint.
Secondly, we are taking the word of people who have early copies who are uploading video with gameplay... not exactly your average consumer. You give me an RPG and I guarantee I can finish it faster than most people. That doesn't mean you take my playthrough as the average time.
Heck, I can run through TLoU on easy in probably 4-5 hours. Doesn't diminish the game.
I have also read an article or two that have talked about developers seeing how low the completion percentage is on their games when they reach a certain length. I can't remember the time but it falls off a cliff after a certain number of hours, depending on the genre. Alot of people talking about the length of the game may not even be finishing most of the games they play...
Over-hyping games is a problem. However, prematurely dismissing games without having a real grasp is also a problem.
Wait for some reviews. If the majority call in to question it's length, make an informed decision.
The purpose of internet forums is to have discussions. No one is *****ing, just stating our opinions, but mostly our disapproval at this recent trend of interactive movies. So not buying the game is rolling over and taking it? No, not buying the game is taking a stand. Not giving them your money is taking a stand. *****ing on a forum is doing absolutely nothing.
So it helps by *****ing on NT? So you're helping by *****ing on NT? That's showing the devs that you won't take their ****? *****.
If it's just a remaster with upscaled resolution and frame rate, you judge it the same as the previous game. If it's a remake with no models, art assets, and such, you judge it on the improvements it made and if the overall experience is better for it.
borderlands 2 dropped september 18, 2012. borderlands the pre-sequel dropped oct 2014. im asking, what guidelines do we use to judge whether re-released games are good or not? Its just like people saying GTA 5 is beast on ps4 and all i can think about is...but we did this already 2 years ago...
When a game "goes gold" it means it's ready for shipment to stores.Homie trust me it was already reporterd that the game has went gold with preorders... If half of them preorders are canceled you don't think the will get the message?
You want to prove a point make them pockets lighter its that simple. Nothing you say will change a damn thing. Not buying the game is the biggest stand you can take. If you can't understand that I don't know what to tell you.
Not coming at you a certain way but it irritates me when it's so simple. If this game doesn't sell trust me they will make a better effort next time.
