Does any other team have a general manager who insists he isn't the general manager?
Time out, I don't know if I lived out here for this one...who is he hinting at? Always liked Gary Peterson.

Baron? That would be my guess.

Edit:
Franchise answered it. I do recall Mookie's antics.

Golden State guard Mookie Blaylock was stripped of his captaincy Monday after skipping practice to allegedly play golf. Antawn Jamison took Blaylock's place as captain after coach Dave Cowens demoted Blaylock, Warriors spokesman Raymond Ridder said. Blaylock, who missed Sunday's practice, did not start Monday against the San Antonio Spurs.
Did they mention this clown Raymond Ridder in the Peterson column as well?

My bad LazyJ. I would have answered your question, but FRANCHISEanswered your question for you. I'm on and off NT right now. I'm studying again at Starbucks.

No worries, I vaguely remember that. Saw Cowens at Lamps Plus before.

Wonder of mookie stiffed the people at the course or if that is limited to just Bobby Rowell.

Al Jefferson's injury note:
Al JeffersonF/CSidelinedOct 17achillesDay-to-day

Latest News:
Al Jefferson is out indefinitely with Achilles tendinitis and information about his condition is scarce. Jefferson traveled with the team to Denver but won't play against the Nuggets. "It all depends on...the treatments and the medication and whatever they're doing for him," Rambis said. "It all depends how quickly it affects it." The Wolves' frontcourt is in shambles at the moment, and we're just hoping Big Al's injury isn't long-term.

At least Al Jefferson's Achilles tendon isn't reported as ruptured or something. Also, wouldn't they know that information right away? If it's torn or something, wouldn't the tendon just coil up in the back of the leg and you could see bulge out of the back of his leg? So they'd know right away, right? I'm also sure that they're going to take all the necessary steps to diagnose this. Take a CT scan or something, right? These are professional athletes here. If they need CT Scans, MRIs, they'll get them.

If it's sore, then rest, ice, NSAIDs for treatment? If it isn't ruptured or sore, what else could cause the discomfort/pain? Do you know of the common time table for return?

Sorry for asking this about a fantasy basketball league, but damn, I hope this isn't long term. I drafted this fool in the 2nd round.

This might be a super late response, but better late than never.

A ruptured Achilles will definitely be disgnosed with an MRI - teams don't just trust a doctor's assessment when it comes to multi-million dollarathletes. An MRI procedure is a few thousand dollars, but it's well worth it to teams.

A ruptured Achilles can take up to an entire year to heal. It's a very serious injury - whenever you hear that someone has a ruptured achilles, you justassume they'll be out of commission for a loooong time. For tendonitis, you need to decrease the imflammation, so like you said NSAIDs will be used. Theyjust better hope they caught it early enough, or else it'll take much more intervention. With tendonitis, they usually want you to rest for 3 weeks and bere-evaluated. If they rush Jefferson back, or if he decides to play through the pain, he'll have to deal with scar tissue that builds up and it'll bea lengthy injury.

(I have Jefferson on two of my teams, so I hope it's not serious).

The doctor has spoken, Al (Harrington and Jefferson) will be drafted.

my friend ruptured his achilles playing tennis. he played for UC davis and had a scholarship waiting for him to transfer to USC. needless to say he's justa regular student now.

I'm not a doctor. And I drafted Jefferson beforeall of this came out - like I said, I hope it's nothing a few weeks of rest can't heal.

You're right.

My medical opinion says that Yao Ming will be back by February. Draft him.

Is there going to be a stream for today's game against the Lakers?
