THE OFFICIAL SAN JOSE SHARKS SEASON THREAD!! PLAYOFFS VS CHICAGO WCF series 0-1

are the cavs trying to get rid of west? i know he's got some issues but he was a pretty big part of their team last year...i guess if the get jack inreturn it'd be alright, since they love gibson off the bench anyway.

i hope we wouldn't have to part with ronny. he's got a great contract and is a pretty solid player off the bench...but i guess we gotta ship outsomebody we like to get rid of jack. the only two players that seem untouchable at this point are AR and Curry (who btw is on the front page of nba.com forsome weird reason).

All jokes aside, it sounds like you had a good time. Sorry to hear about the shuttle. Before the weekend, I was worried it might be a tremendous burden.
Nelson leaves team for family emergency

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP)-Golden State Warriors coach Don Nelson has left the team for a family emergency and will miss Tuesday night's preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers in Ontario.

Nelson is with his wife, Joy, in Southern California after her 54-year-old brother, Mark Van Kampen, was injured in a motorcycle accident Sunday and had to have one of his legs amputated, the team said Monday.

Nelson is expected to rejoin the team Wednesday. The Warriors play their final preseason game at home Thursday against New Orleans, then open the season at Oracle Arena against the Houston Rockets on Oct. 28.

yeah i was there for the pre-season tournament this weekend.
i always forget how many NCS and CCS winners UCSD drew. and how UCLA has soooo many junior national team members on their team...

i had always wondered why people thought the ARC at UCI was so awesome but now i can tell.

Chico's little student center gym was by far one of the worst things ever. Carpet was the hoop surface. So glad they got a new student center.

i'm going to assume you mean running around the track because the basketball courts suck (though i haven't been back there in over four years so i'm not sure if they made changes or anything).

What up, I got a medical question for you... actually it's about Al Jefferson, but it's medical-related andfantasy basketball related.

Al Jefferson's injury note:
Al JeffersonF/CSidelinedOct 17achillesDay-to-day

Latest News:
Al Jefferson is out indefinitely with Achilles tendinitis and information about his condition is scarce. Jefferson traveled with the team to Denver but won't play against the Nuggets. "It all depends on...the treatments and the medication and whatever they're doing for him," Rambis said. "It all depends how quickly it affects it." The Wolves' frontcourt is in shambles at the moment, and we're just hoping Big Al's injury isn't long-term.

At least Al Jefferson's Achilles tendon isn't reported as ruptured or something. Also, wouldn't they know that information right away? If it'storn or something, wouldn't the tendon just coil up in the back of the leg and you could see bulge out of the back of his leg? So they'd know rightaway, right? I'm also sure that they're going to take all the necessary steps to diagnose this. Take a CT scan or something, right? These areprofessional athletes here. If they need CT Scans, MRIs, they'll get them.

If it's sore, then rest, ice, NSAIDs for treatment? If it isn't ruptured or sore, what else could cause the discomfort/pain? Do you know of the commontime table for return?

Sorry for asking this about a fantasy basketball league, but damn, I hope this isn't long term. I drafted this fool in the 2nd round.

look at this guy. paul trying to throw smokescreens with some injury to al jefferson the night before our draft...ithought you had more class than that...
