I also thought it was a joke and then I saw it was part of the new marketing ad

It’s interesting but I don’t hate it.

Didn't think this was real until I saw it on Twitter. :lol

Right before holiday season, run a marketing campaign to say you don't need the box.

Hey, at least there's merch:

They really missing the mark on some panties with this saying.

One of these gamer thots going to make a killing with a "This is a XXXbox" pair of boyshorts.

Anyone think the Ps5 Pro will have any sales on Black Friday or any bundles? I been wanting to get one but potential sales are making me want to hold off. I have the Silent Hill 2 remake but been waiting to hold off to play it until I get a pro and for that pro update. I also have FF7 Rebirth which I hear is amazing on it and Star Wars Outlaws not really sure how that one performs but def gotta be better than the base PS5.

Too soon. They just put the PS5 All Digital on sale for 379.99. That's only $20 off forreal for real since 2020 (I know it's the slim, but let's be serious).

When it comes to the games, I'm not sure yet. I could see some of them going for 34.99 - 49.99 hopefully.

I platinumed Vampire Survivors a few days ago. I started the DLC and was kinda bummed to find out that the DLCs for Contra and Castlevania don’t include trophies :(

The devs have explained that they won't do any trophies/achievements for any licensed DLC so that the game won't have unobtainable trophies in the event that the license expires and the DLC needs to be delisted.

My body is ready.

Any good or upcoming deals for the 12 mnths of PS+? I didn't realize I was already done until I turned on my PS5 this morning.

11 Bit is one of my favorite studios. Hoping to see Frostpunk 2 on console eventually. Seems like the release day numbers weren't great, but it's had a steady tail.

THIS IS NOT AN XBOX thread, but an interesting read:

Speaking about consoles, Spencer said that he loves that people are buying Xbox hardware, but notes that it isn’t a growth market. “Our biggest growth in Xbox players is on PC and cloud,” he said. “The console space all up isn’t growing, across all of them. We love those customers, but in terms of continuing to expand and grow Xbox, it’s about PC, it’s about cloud, ad it’s about making our games more available in more places.”

“We think about hardware that can create unique value for our players or creators on our platform,” he said. “We don’t need to do incremental hardware for our own benefit. Does a new device really give you a unique experience on screen in some way? [It’s] less like the old days, going from the original Xbox to 360; that was standard definition to high definition. Now, [it’s] harder to show the benefits.”

“We are trying to expand, ‘What does an Xbox mean?’ I want Xbox to be something 20 years from now,” he said. “I think in order for Xbox to be vibrant, be successful, it needs to be about multiple pieces of hardware.

I'm intrigued to see how this looks in 5-10 years.

I have an idea. What about a DLC category? Or call it best post-release support or something stupid.

This is not the year for Elden Ring DLC to be winning game of the year. I can see it some other years, but this year is pretty stacked.

We need to keep the sanctity of Geoff Kheighley's annual, prestigious, Game Marketing Opportunity intact here.

Pretty much what I always knew.

Don’t waste time getting a Xbox when you can stack paper and get a quality gaming PC if you want to play Xbox games that badly.

All that talk is like the slow version of going out like Sega minus not having any household franchises that can make money in other mediums.

I’m a console gamer strictly off of convenience. I turn on, I log in, I start up game.

Plus I play off of a tv. My wife would never let me put a tower next to our TVs. Sure I could do a gaming laptop, but those things overheat like a mfer.

Sekiro reveal at TGA 2017
Elden Ring gameplay reveal at SGF 2021
Armored Core reveal at TGA 2022

We see you, Geoff.

It deserves the nod imo. Calling it DLC is selling it short. It's one of the highest rated releases of the year and is a full game's worth of content. It's going to win GOTY elsewhere.

GOTY's are made up for fun anyways. We shouldn't be too precious about these sort of things and efforts like Erdtree should be rewarded by the media/indsutry/what have you.
