You are not alone. Metal Gear without Kojima is no Metal Gear at all. Lamebrain cast of characters, cheesy rock songs during boss fights. I just can't do it.

I dl'ed the demo when it was made available a few weeks, but have not played it once, and do not have any desire to play it at all.

oh as for nd being overrated, im speaking simply in ps3 terms. i forgot they did crash etc. never played those games so all i know about nd is the uncharted series.

for me uc is all graphics, no real substance. the gameplay is shallow for me....yeah i know this commingfrom a guy who proclaims fo3 his #1 - but bear in mind its not simply gun mechanics for me, its the total package (minigames, pip boy, music, texts, lore, simply wandering etc etc etc)

....whereas unncharted is pretty water, big levels which are frustratingly restrictive, and corny one-liners.... stuff of the overrated to me.

Well if 1 or 2 were any indicators I ran through them in days.

I remember I got Max Payne 2 from my sister for Christmas and beat it in 2 days. I was hooked. Thats one of the reasons I didn't get 3 at launch. $60 bucks for something I'll destroy in a few days if I really like it. Its finally sub $20 now. Right in my price range I wanted to be.

can you cycle through normal/hard throughout the game?

Thinking I'll try it on hard first and cycle back if it gets too difficult. Most games on normal are pretty easy for me nowadays. I just don't wanna get STUCK and have to replay half the game again on normal though.

Yea you can change it whenever you want.

And honestly I beat it on hard and it wasnt to crazy. Just take your time on certain parts. I think most dudes just tried to run thru it without using cover. But trust me you have to use cover.

But it's a difficulty after hard called "hardcore" haven't built up the courage to try that yet.

Well honestly I haven't even played Bioshock 2 yet. I just downloaded it because it was a free game on PS+ a few months back.

I'm playing Bioshock 2 for the 1st time. Def. one of the best single player fpss that I've played.

Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag Leaked Screenshot/Details - Sony Confirmed for PS3/PS4

The next Assassin's Creed game will be called 'Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag', if supposedly leaked promotional materials turn out to be genuine.

The poster pictured right, passed to Kotaku by 'a tipster', clearly shows the aforementioned title, along with a hooded figure who would appear to be the new main protagonist, surrounded by pirates on a pirate ship.

According to Examiner, the main character is Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway from Assassin's Creed 3, and an Assassin and known Privateer. The game is claimed to be set in the caribbean, with Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas among the islands that will be visited.

The site claims the game is up and running on Xbox 360, but next-generation versions are also planned.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed earlier this month that Ubisoft plans to publish a new Assassin's Creed game during the 2014 financial year.

It was confirmed the game will take place in a new time period and star a new character, but little else was revealed.

As Kotaku notes, this isn't the first time the title 'Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag' has been rumoured - weeks ago a Reddit poster claimed to have spotted promotional materials for the game on the laptop screen of a woman sitting in the seat infront of them on a plane.

A separate Reddit poster also claimed to have eavesdropped on two seeming marketing staff discussing an Assassin's Creed project titled 'Black Flag' in a San Francisco cafe - although they - possibly presumptuously - described what they heard as AC3 DLC. According to the poster, the game being discussed featured a focus on naval combat, and a commercial being pitched featured the tagline "Survival is the Only Thing Worth Dying For," accompanying footage of "an Admiral of the British Royal Navy" attempting to arrest the main protagonist while out at sea.

"Assassin's Creed 4" had been confirmed by Ubisoft weeks ago, but now some new information that has come out of the Sony camp has pointed to the next installment in the "Assassin's Creed" franchise coming to the PS3.

According to a report from GameChup yesterday, Michael Denny, senior vice-president of Sony WWS, talked about some of the upcoming games that will be coming to the PlayStation 3.

"Look at the games coming out on the PlayStation 3 like 'The Last of Us,' 'Beyond: Two Souls,' GT6, and then on the third-party side of things another fantastic 'Assassin’s Creed,' 'GTA.'

"It’s important for our content to have that kind of longevity because, as I was saying [about the PS Vita], the games that come through are going to get better and better over time," Denny said.

Just about all of the titles that Denny discussed are expected and have been revealed up to this point, including the next installment of "Assassin's Creed." Gamers who were wondering whether or not "Assassin's Creed 4" would be coming to the PlayStation 3, can now breath freely as it will hit the older Sony console.

Most suspect the majority of games that are released on the PS4 and Xbox 720 will also be ported to their predecessors because Sony and Microsoft do not want to cut off that stream of revenue right away.

"Assassin's Creed 4" has been confirmed for released on the PlayStation 3, and many can expect the title to hit the PS4 as well.
