southcitydon southcitydon That basketball court, is it open to the public? Always wanted to go there but wasn't sure if it was accessible to the public.

^^^^^Just PM'd you but I think it's your URL link.

I asked him that too on IG. Dude's be c-blocking me all the time but never figured to pay them off. I am still not even sure if that is worth it but if and when I do it, the skies better be on fire!

And bring somebody who can dunk. That would be an awesome shot.

best approach to stuff like that is to walk like you belong there - when you start acting sketchy mofos start blocking ....

just walk into the building and act like you belong ... it works!

I think you just got to see the right guy/girl and just bribe them right and be nice about it. I know that is not always the case though cause I know people that got up there no problem, but I wonder if it is a more recent thing since that spot is super popular and even Curry filmed a commercial there.

I went in with a group of 3 other shooters. One dude set it all up by emailing the staff and setting up the "rental" we split the cost ($100) for an hour of access.

Apparently it was doable because of it being the winter break and schools being closed, since it is basically an after school program center for city kids.

I guess it is regularly accessible during the day (certain days maybe) for like $5/$10 for 10 minutes or so, but we wanted sunset and night shots.

There was a guy with us that could dunk but we didn't have a ball. But peep @sh00tr74 on IG, he posted a shot of ol boy grabbin rim.

$100 for an hour?! Wasn't expecting that but when you split it up it's not so bad. Might have to go there with some cash and see what happens.

@southcitydon Woah SF is so photogennic
All those shots are sick but the golden gate one is crazy :smokin

Word. If they had the availability for that 10 minute access at sunset, I'd go that route. But splitting it up wasn't bad.

It can be "accessed" after hours, but one of the guys we shot with had been there before like that and said the neighbors call the cops with the quickness.

If you can go stealth mode and with some quickness, you might be able to get in and out.

but personally i think the "matteness" of the last two are a little overdone.

Thanks for actually telling people about your shots and where/how you took them. I haven't ran into it too much here in this thread, but it is so annoying when people try to keep ish a secret over shots. Could you provide us with a location for the basketball shot? I'm not local, so I'm not too sure where it is. Maybe the next time I'm in SF I can try to see if I can shoot there.

EDIT: after some googling, I guess it is the Cameron House. My comments still stand though. Thank you for the info.

Appreciate that bruh. I stay tinkering with the edits through several variations. I have a couple other of those shots with different vibes. The cypress tree shot got a decent amount of love on an IG hub, which surprised me cuz it wasn't my fav edit I've done, but just goes to show that everyone has different preferences for what a appeals to them.

was kinda up and around the past three weeks. mom's wedding with family i hadn't seen in az and small trip to hk to visit a friend. lots of opportunities for photos but was admittedly caught deep in my feelz for both occassions...i just wanted to experience, breathe and live in the moment rather than snap away trying to take pics at the time. cliche i know. ill make a trip back to hk in april but during the wedding my uncle from my new extended family let me play with his 24-70mm 2.8 and 70-200mm 2.8 and i tried to keep in mind what yall had mentioned and suggested from an earlier post. i definitely didn't take full advantage of his toys but maybe next time. only snapped a few heres dump.

Awesome!

@JoDeVa89  great shots man, HK is a beautiful city, need to get back there myself.

Need some help ya'll, @Fongstarr  posted the "<img src=> code for embedding images in full vs the NT pic uploader...however I cannot get it to work for some reason, while he can, using my link.

Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? Here is exactly what I've been using: <IMG SRC="https://endoandreas.files.wordpress.com/2017/01/train-frozen-in-time1.jpg?w=2360">

Whenever I attempt to post that or preview it, the image doesn't show, just that code, any help would be appreciated.
