Teams can control players for the first eight to nine years of their career. If he absolutely doesn't want to play for the team anymore, this is the route to go. He's clearly out on the team and doesn't even want to report to camp.

It'll be interesting if Morey will really let an entire year go by of Embiid's prime to get what he views is fair value for Simmons. That's Klutch's bluff right there.

because embiid can shoot, dude at the 4 makes sense as long as the other 3 guys can at least hit spot up shots as outlets for spacing

The thing is, the team was never given a real “reason” as to why he wants to get traded. Doc and Morey explicitly said it during Media Day. The assumptions of the fans, G7 comments, Embiid etc but no actual reasons. But it does make sense as to why he didn’t want the team to see him, because the reasons was pure BS

klutch’s power plays only work because Lebron only signs those short deals with player options.. if you don’t pay guys, Lebron jsut threatens to leave

with AD he at least showed up and then was farting around with injuries plus he didn’t have a whole 4 years left

76ers have zero reason to trade dude unless they can get at least something because they have to concern themselves about embiid’s prime and what assets they have, which ain’t much

i don’t blame dude at all for this, some people ain’t built for certain places/situations

I think people give certain places a bad wrap.. but you do have fans that actually legit care in certain places.. some places the fans are great if the team is good and check out if the team is shhh.. but you have some places where fans are going legit care

as Boston fan, you know people will always care about the Red Sox in spite of baseball falling off or if the team isn’t good.. some dudes jsut ain’t cut out for that

Thats one of those scenarios that can happen in theory but in the actual real world there’s a 0% chance he’s on the roster by the trade deadline.

Man Ben Simmons deserves all the slander. Dude had legit fear in his eyes when he had the rock in that series He is entitled, spoiled, afraid of failing and lacks the hunger of guys like Giannis and Embiid. Embiid can say whatever he wants, he was out there on a torn meniscus giving it his all and being hampered by a #1 overall pick. Seth Curry legit was the #2 option lol. No excuses for Ben Simmons.

The difference with Harden is that he built up good will with the Rockets and gave it his all while he was there so they were willing to work with him.
