The Xmas Kobes are just as horrific as the Lebrons, IMO. Fingers crossed the KDs will save the holidays. Otherwise, money saved.

Last Elite didn't have carbon fiber and costed almost $300. Imagine how much new ones would cost if they had CF.Carbon fiber is usually an elite add onI'm banking on Nike throwing more posite on the shoeWhat do you all expect from a Elite model? Like something that was disappointing on the regular and could be improved.
And they'll probably put it around the toebox too and screw up the fit
i think that after the XI's more people were more in love with the fact that they could go TTS or even a half size down and the shoe was still comfortable in the toe box area!
After rocking the instincts all day casually, I do not feel all this comfort that is leaps and bounds over the XI. Actually feels the same to me imo
They're cool, but nothing to write home about

Am I the only one that reads a lot of the comments and says to himself "these are basketball shoes, what do you expect"?
I know more people probably rock their kicks for casual purposes, but people get carried away in my opinion.
Complaining about the lettering coming off on the insole? there was a tiny spot of glue on em?
Really? When was the last time someone stopped anyone and said, hey man, how is the lettering on your insole holding up? Or hey man, when you drove to the lane, I noticed you had a tiny spot of glue on your posite.
Some of this ish is just too much.
And I'm sure this post will get bashed but I just don't get it sometimes.
"But...but...but...I spent $200 on the shoe"

I agree with both points. Yeah I can't expect these "rubber shoes" (as a family friend of mine pointed out) to be made with the same craftsmanship as like those high designer dress shoes. For more reasons than one but really its because they were designed to be balled in not just rocked casually and inspected and looked at. I mean I don't wear mine for ball so Im not calling anyone out. And i get that for $200 youd think theyd take time to just get it right, especially when you dropping $200 after youve saved for it/worked for it. But i guess that price comes from the tech in the shoes and the "putting together of the shoes" just comes secondary to that. Ill complain about dents, scratches, and any glaring flaw but if its something little,i mean i take it for what it is. But to each his own.
The deals just keep rolling in!
IMO the price doesn't come from the tech, the price comes from the hype of the Athlete. Most (not all) people are buying these sneakers because of the name and hype on them, Nike is taking advantage of that. Unfortunately, some people will take the hit of the price because of other things outside of name and hype (colorway, performance, comfort, overall look, etc...). Nike will never think "Well we are charging X amount for these so we should spend X amount of time to craft each pair to reflect that price" because people will buy them regardless.
No joke that these are a pain to lace...but I did it anyway just to be a bit different. Not a perfect color match on the lace locks, but I dig it.View media item 1288878
I can see that. I was really expecting to be bouncing around like the X's. Them things is the pinnacle of comfort imo, but I can't play in em cause I lose all type of court feel. Feels like i'm about to fall overi think that after the XI's more people were more in love with the fact that they could go TTS or even a half size down and the shoe was still comfortable in the toe box area!

This is exactly what I was thinking all day. I'll follow them more often cause they were spot onI feel the same way.
The only thing I see is that it's not as snug as the armorposite on the XI that a lot of people complained about. Having a narrow foot that was never really a problem for me.
Now I sort of see what Foamer and Kickgenius were saying.
Can I get a hell no?I'd like to see The XII elite with Flyknit but i know I'm dreaming.
