The Official NBA Season Thread: Season Starts Now

This is the year Kd reunion with OKC makes the most sense but the organization and the city ungrateful asses hate him, even after he extended the olives branch

Tryout SZN is among us.

90% sure it’s Dallas or Phoenix

Most laker fans have always said the lakers would be in drivers seat for Kyrie IF HE SABOTAGED HIS WAY TO LA. So unless he tweets that he will wear a hitler mustache if traded elsewhere, he won’t be a laker.

The 2023 pick is guaranteed to be in the late 1st, 2025 probably isn't lottery bound either. Lakers 27 and 29 would be well past the primes of Kyrie and AD. That's the kind of asset we've seen teams go for when they tear it down

Okay. Then the Suns can offer 2027 and 2029 first round picks instead of 2023 & 2025.

Mavs can offer 2027 and 2029 first round picks.

No matter what way you put it Suns or Mavs offer the better value of being able to win or rebuild.

EYE respect the T Wolves going for the big swing trade. It is MINNESOTA. No one is going to Minnesota of their own volition. EYE also respect zagging while everyone is zigging. It doesn't always work, but when it does it works in an overwhelming fashion (ex. GSW's offense).

So far it's looked bad, but I have no issues with the process.

The Mavs have 23 year old Luka. The suns have a bunch of 26 year olds. Those picks don't have the same value as ones from a team led by a 38 year old

*Whispers* There’s just as much likelihood that the Mavs don’t have Luka by 2027 and Suns don’t have Booker by 2028 than there is that the Lakers haven’t found cap space to be good again in 4 years. *Whispers*

The Mavs gamble would be they can’t finish the job and keep Luka and you strike gold.
