I just upgraded my MacBook RAM from 1gb to 4gb. So far, there's nearly no lag at all when I open my applications.

Installation was extremely easy. In fact, the manual that the MacBook comes with actually gives you step by step instructions on how to install the RAM. If you're planning on adding additional RAM, installation should not be a factor at all IMO. It took me no more than 5 minutes, literally.

The brand that I purchased was Corsair. Here's the link:
Apple MacBook 4GB Ram - Corsair

Only $48.00 after the rebate.

Get it while the rebate is still intact and while supplies last.

That's weird. I heard Macs are the best for Serato because Apple > Windows in terms of system stability. I'm a DJ and I bought a macjust for serato.

Question for you ram aficionados since i'm an idiot. I have a MBP 2gb last update before the new generation and I was wondering if I were toreplace the ram do I replace it entirely meaning I buy 2 X 2GB STICKS? Or do I buy a 2GB stick and stick it along side the current 2gb of ram I have stockfrom apple?

Yes, more than likely you have (2) 1 gb memory sticks like my mbp did.
click the apple icon--> about this mac--->more info--->then under hardware, click memory, there it tells you how many sticks/gb per stick u have.

As far as installing the memory, it is really, really easy. Just make sure you buy memory that is compatible... I went with Kingston pc2-5300 200 pin.

You can find instructions on how to install memory on Apple's site, just click the support link.
