What happened? Care to elaborate at all? Curious on how they treated you
Door/ list is run by reseller crews. I understand the door guy will let in his friends, but this was organized, they were popping out of SUVs after no one had seen these dudes all night and walking right to the front. They have 1 register inside, and it's an IPad with a charge machine. They are all about their buildout, and people move slowly once in store and are not hurried along. The security can't maintain a line for sh@t, role calls aren't honored.
At the 8 ball release, they made it a big thing to individually wrap each shoe, but it was below freezing onside and I had maybe moved 10 yards after the release was going for two hours. Same type of thing at the dunk SB release, only it was heat and due to registers.
People got pissed at the resellers at the dunk release and started bum rushing the door, which of course slowed it down even more, security stopping the line to yell at people who were insulting them due to their outright incompetence at crowd control which is their job.
Mtuple charges were made on my friends card for the lux goods and he got charged overdraft, then they canceled his order anyway.
Plus their last few collabs have been meh. They had three dope releases this year: the tea parties, the luxury goods, and the timberlands. All of those happened in like the fist three months.
Just sucks out there, I hear the Boston experience is a lot better.
Deons a good dude, I respect him, but they don't know what they're doing over there. It's all build outs and packaging but the service, and sometimes the shoes, aren't always the best. More style than substance.
I've had better experiences at Extra Butter, West NYC, Atmos and yes, even Kith. Except Ronnies out of his damn mind if he thinks I'm gonna go to some bougie cereal bar.
