THE OFFICIAL AIR MAX 1 THREAD

I think the fondness/hype of retro sneaks have died down a lot. Whether that be saturation from hobbyists like us or inflation. And there’s also move towards new tech shoes like
vomero’s (include me on that since i bought a couple recently) that provide superb comfort

Vomeros are retros.. I was selling them over 20 years ago. Moved on from 80s and 90's retro sneakers maybe. They had no real nostalgia or attachment to the era it was a fad to them. economics is affecting this hobby. The hypebeasts and resellers moved on. Other fans are spending less in these times because sneakers are very low on the list of needs vs wants.

Also the bubble that existed driven by gross over valuation and after market sales created a lasting impression in a lot of minds of what the sneaker culture should be like. Drops going in seconds. Value spiking up after retail is cleaned out etc etc. That peak era of hypebeast culture is in the toilet with your economy. Look at employment numbers. You dudes keep talking about sneakers. They mean nothing in the greater scheme of things. Catch some sales here and there but this ain't the time for all that splurging.

I agree 100%.

I was referring to Vomero 18s, Vomero Plus, etc; with the new extra bouncy/plush midsole.

Damn… when was the last time SNKRROOM had a promo?! I’m itching to grab a couple of items from from.
