THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || MEH

Attack Sherman's overrated *** please! He can't cover Dez one on one and neither can Maxwell. The help over the top from Thomas and Chancellor(who we should've drafted :x) will save them. Our best bet is to move Dez around early and often.

We called it, boys. 5 TD for Terrance Williams so far this season. Hoping he continues to produce, even though Seattle's secondary is a difficult location to play at home.

I'd like to stack the WRs, and try to create some confusion.

Dez is great one on one, but so is Sherman. If there's help over the top, it will be tough for Dez.

I think regardless, Beasley will have a lot of opportunity on under routes, as will Witten on check downs.

Sherman can be beat with the back shoulder fade.
He's fast but he isn't quick.
We just need to focus on moving the chains and eliminating all redzone turnovers.

Yup. Challenge Dez to challenge Sherman and be physical with him, if that made sense. If he always stays on the left side then run different receivers out there doing different things. Keep him thinking and less reacting. ****, run right at him too!

I'm getting tired of hearing about how many of the other teams fans are at our games.

It makes for a better fan experience when you have the opposing fan at your house.

Romo needs to focus on not throwing redzone interceptions, instead of worrying about people selling their tickets.

Jerry was on the radio this morning and set the record straight.

What he say?

Let SEA D focus on Murray/Dez, Witten will go off word to the NO game. With this offense, Choose your poison.

Honestly, I don't really want to win this game. Sounds crazy but I much rather lose a close game by a FG or TD. The last thing I want to see or hear is ESPN having a slurpfest everyday talking bout "the Cowboys are the team to beat out of the NFC" or "Cowboys are Super Bowl favorites with the win over Seattle" :x :{ ... I'm really enjoying us flying under the radar and handling our business every week. Once the hype train comes rolling in I can see this all falling apart.

With that being said, Cowboys 23 - Seattle 17 :smokin :smokin

It's already started my man

30 for 30 Shorts: The Great Trade Robbery

In 1989, the largest trade in NFL history sent Herschel Walker from Dallas to Minnesota. The Vikings ruined what looked to be a budding dynasty by selling the farm for Walker. Dallas became the team of the 1990's, restoring its place as America's Team.

Great 12 minutes about the ins and outs and how it happened.

Our quarterback and league leading running back have combined for NINE turnovers in our first five games.
We're still averaging 27pts a game and are 4-1.
The slurping is well deserved :hat

I knew we fleeced them, and always wondered how the hell we ended up with that many picks :eek ...

Exactly How I Feel.

captainsneakerhead23 captainsneakerhead23 bro we are America's team, we're never "flying under the radar".
The only reason more sports media personalities aren't talking about the Cowboys, is because it's hard to say "How bout them Cowboys" with your foot in your mouth.

How anyone can blatantly ignore the amount of injuries we had to our best defensive personnel last year is beyond comprehension.
And to pick us to not only finish last again but also be WORSE than we were last year was pure stupidity, with a few sprinkles of hate on top.

This.

Now I'm not going to sit here and act like I expected 4-1 and a defense that would ranked 8th in points allowed through 5 weeks.

But anyone who wasn't doing basic ESPN analysis or just hating could see the Cowboys wouldn't be as bad on D as last year nor would they be a bottom 6 team like people were predicting.

Dudes in the NFL predictions thread were talm bout we were going to give up 500 points, contend for the #1 pick, dudes were saying we were so desperate we had to sign Rolondo McClain, dudes been clowning us picking Olinemen for so long, especially the Fredrick pick(what center is better than him right now?). Look at us now.

Last year we were in a completely new scheme, 9/10 that is always shaky for teams their first year, 70% of the D was hurt, Sean Lee went down middle of the season as always, just so many things went wrong. And we still finished 8-8.

This year, Sean went down before camp and they were able to plan accordingly, and right now our Linebackers have been beasting no matter who's on the field because they've all put in that work from day one instead of us scrambling to prepare someone because Lee went down. The Line is imposing their will because of all those first round investments and helping mask the D's problems also. The offensive line alone should've hushed all those doom and gloom Predictions. Anyone who watches football knows just how much having a good line helps all phases of the game.

That Sean Lee injury.... Old brittle bones himself..

McNulty kicking the cabinet gif*

I didn't think they'd be worse on Def. I thought they'd be bad, but not nearly as bad last year. Even a semi-fuctioning defense last year probably would add 3 wins.

I looked at the stats about a week ago, and it shows us both as a good defense and a bad defense. But certainly it is a passable defense. If you were just going on the eye test, we are pretty good considering where people thought we were.
