The NBA Draft Thread

Fultz petty. :lol

I feel him though, it's ridiculous that Ball was ever considered close to Fultz when he may not even be a better prospect than Fox or Smith when you factor in his flaws.

I want to look past his flaws because I love high IQ PGs which I think he is one, but I just cant. Too many weaknesses to just over look. What team he's drafted on will largely determine his early success imo.

I'd be tempted to move on Fox ahead of Lonzo... but I know that's a hell of a gamble betting on Fox's development as a shooter.

I love dude's game.

Fultz and Jackson are clear cut 1/2 at this point.

:lol at the turn nt made. First 5 minutes all I saw was lonzo da truth. Now he's about to fall out the lottery

It's ridiculous. A tournament game negates a season full of work. Kid is still going top 2.

What last night did was just bring out the same folks who were skeptics

All of his criticisms are warranted and Fox has always been a top 7 prospect. Nature of the beast

Ball is one of the most polarizing prospects in this draft so you're going to see the swings

Yes and no. You're right in a sense, a tournament game shouldn't ever sway someone's opinion on a prospect

It's not that ridiculous because Jackson has LONG been many folks' #2 after Fultz and it's all fair analysis

Ball ugly as hell, I'm glad he lost. He too ugly to be the face of a franchise. He'll go undrafted because teams don't wanna deal with his ugly ***.

He is one ugly son of a ***** :lol somebody on here said he looks like Drake if somebody made a wooden figure of him

:lol

Count me in as one of the skeptics. I don't ever want to put TOO much into a tourney performance, but I do want to give a lot more weight to matchups against other elite teams/players. De'Aaron Fox has balled on him twice now and Arizona slowed him down and made him look pedestrian multiple times.

Ball was not pedestrian, IMO, against Arizona in their first two meetings. Gotta look beyond the numbers, especially in the road game at Arizona, Ball had his fingerprints all over that win offensively

He also played pretty well the first time they beat Kentucky

Defensively it's absolutely fair to question him in particular games

What good PG in the league can't penetrate though? Pretty much the top 15 PGs can beat you off the dribble, hit the mid range, have a floater, etc.

I don't remember the last time Ball beat someone off the dribble or hit a midrange jumper. Rubio was drafted strictly based on his experience and elite passing, but I wouldn't even put Ball in the same sentence as Rubio.

Idk I like Ball's IQ and pass first mentality, but there's just too many red flags on him if I want him to be my future PG. Especially as the #2 pick.

Can't be an exceptional PG without being able to get into the lane. Needs to tighten up his handle and show more interest in driving down hill off angles. He's too passive in the PnR, it's like his mind is already made up he's not going to attack off it

Whether or not he can improve this skill is up for debate. I'm banking that if he can tighten his handle, which IMO can definitely happen, his IQ and mentality (change in) will allow that progression

I hope so. I want him to be good. He's the biggest boom or bust player in this draft imo.

As it stands, to me there's 10 American players who you can't really be mad if you end up with them

Frank is still a wild card, which is not in that 10 group, has anyone even been keeping tabs on him?
