The takedown is accounted for in that chart too...
Bendo won that though.
Frankenstein is going to keep his belt.
This, this and probably....this.
Yep.

Looks like this will be Reem's last fight on his contract. Hell of a last fight with JDS
Al Iaquinta is looking to return in July
Werdum signed a 8 fight deal
My criteria absolutely matters. Both in MMA and boxing, styles makes fights. If a guy who is an out-fighter for example, and uses the perimeter of the octagon to move and keep his opponent chasing him, and does just that in a fight against a guy who wants to keep the fight centered in the middle of the octagon, then judges ABSOLUTELY take that into account.
You're fooling yourself if you don't believe that. Judges don't have access to raw stats. They don't get compubox/compustrike/FightMetric numbers delivered to them ringside. Do they try to keep a mental tally on strike count/significant strikes and takedowns? Absolutely.
But you're not going to sit there and tell me that they dismiss who fights their fight or who is executing their game plan. They absolutely take note of such nuances and score accordingly.
I didn't say anything about Cerrone's kicks. I said many of Bendo's kicks didn't visibly hobble Cerrone but Cerrone obviously didn't put forth the volume many expected to put forth in a fight many saw as a must-win for him having lost to Bendo previously twice. Reading is fundamental.
Biased? Okay son. I could give a flying **** about RDA, Bendo or Cerrone. Not a fan of any one of those three. I'm simply saying that I, objectively, saw Cerrone lose to Bendo, as did most others.
IDK why you're arguing either, I simply stated my opinion and you got all bent out of shape.
I don't get bent outta shape for anything over the internet..
I read what u wrote, I mistyped cerrone, meant to say bendo in response to ur statement bout throwing kicks
And if ur criteria is what u think judges base their opinion on it shows why ur opinion on this fight and theirs were diff....Oct control, aggression, effective grappling and striking are the 4 fyi...not game plans and whatever else u came up with
Reem has been so up and down in the UFC, 4-3. Who knows when he was juicing but he definitely was. Not to mention his last fight in Strikeforce against Werdum was just a bizarre match
I wouldn't be surprised if this was Reem's last go round with the UFC win or lose... but man I don't think JDS gonna lose to this glass jaw no cardio dude...
Werdum was trying to pull guard every second if he would have just stood he would have won that fight too, pretty sure he kept up with him in striking
My picks are: RDA, JDS, Johnson. My picks have been about .500 lately, got Aldo and Weidman both wrong last week
Reem has never seemed to gain any traction. At this point to me he screams Bellator status. That is he is easily UFC material but Bellator will overpay the hell out of him and the UFC doesn't need him
I would keep him it's just a matter of what his offers would be even if he loses. I feel like Dana won't care about him lol
BTW, totally overlooked the Oliveria vs Jury fight. GREAT match, we'll see if Jury's move to Arizona helps him and we'll see how he does in his featherweight debut. Sucked to see Oliveria get that weird injury against Holloway
When I say game-plan, or use the term "a fighter fighting his fight", they speak to the octagon control facet of scoring.
An out-fighter coming in and being well, an out-fighter, is him (or her) executing their game plan and demonstrating ring generalship IE octagon control. A grappler going in and taking the fight to the ground, against the cage, and forcing his opponent to fight his fight is absolutely a facet of octagon control. Here's an article to further shed light on "octagon control".

SO no, again, my criteria is spot on. You can continue to argue semantics and split hairs but the fact is, a fighter fighting his fight, dictating where the fight goes, the pace of the fight etc are all part of octagon control.
To my point, Bendo fought HIS FIGHT. Not Cerrone's fight, he didn't play into Cerrone's hand and IMO frustrated him and put him outside of his comfort zone (something fighters such as Lauren Murphy and Sarah Kaufman observed during the fight and echoed on their twitter feeds).
So octagon control: Bendo
Significant Strikes: Bendo
Takedowns: Cerrone
Aggression: Bendo. And why? Because Cerrone couldn't implement his aggression. HE wanted to, he couldn't. Bendo nullified that by fighting his fight AND? DING DING DING, executing his game-plan.
Have a good one.
