The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

its my understanding that basically any city ufc goes for in the past few years is paying for them to come, im sure if dana had his way everything would be in the apex and oil lands

I miss the days during covid where we got 3 fight cards from fight island in one week. A fight night on Saturday, a fight night on a Wednesday night, and a ppv on the Saturday

They did that before COVID during International Fight Week. So it's not new to them as long as they have the venue booked.

They can logistically do it in Vegas or anywhere.

LMAO

They just scrapping the barrell for Pantoja challengers if you go by their rankings.

I think Kai can be a player. He probably needs to do training in the US. And they probably should have pitted him against a top 15.

Same playbook as Eddie Alvarez...much less like Jiri (who was in the right place at the right time).

This whole GFL thing looks terrible. Roster nothing but all old washed ex ufc fighters. Think I only saw 1 prospect on the roster that caught my eye off the regionals.

Unless this team joint is some type of eastern euro inspired 2v2,3v3,4v4 type tag matches it does nothing for me

The IFL didn't work so what makes them think another league type MMA org will?? Filling it with washed fighters isn't exactly a recipe for success. Though from the interview on Ariel's show yesterday the founder, Darren Owen, did at least seem more realistic than Donn Davis but that's not saying much lol. It's good to have another org for up and comers and former UFC guys to go but I just don't see this lasting more than a few years or being profitable. Will watch their inaugural event though to see how it goes down but just hope it's not too sad. The team concept has never worked to my knowledge in combat sports.

They have guys in their upper 40s like Werdum, Mir and W Silva who are well past prime and should stay retired.

I'd like to see Illia defend at least 3x before moving up but can understand him wanting to move up sooner. Him vacating would be terrible for the division after he just beat two of the best.

Ilias my favorite fighter right now. Easily one of the most skilled fighters but mans just too small for 155.

In the end I still don't believe him. He always talks just to talks. Ain't no way he cuts from 195. If he is dude is eating absolute garbage out of camp. We've seen what Aljo looks like when he hits 185ish out of camp and mans looks like he's at the end of a trimester.

They having the HW wrestlers fight each other now to keep from further exposing Ganes bum *** :smh:
