It's nice to at least finally see Frankie in there with an opponent who isn't going to succumb to the volume. The past two years Frankie's had Cub, Penn and Oliveria. All three of those guys were just too slow to keep up from the jump

Uriah might break down eventually but at least I feel like Frankie isn't just hitting a punching bag. Uriah is very mobile and not plodding

It was a definitive victory for sure. Faber did not get embarrassed (like Cub did) but it was crystal clear that Frankie was the better fighter and is the true #1 contender

It was clear that Faber lost all 5 rounds but give Faber credit for putting up a better fight than Cub or Penn

They had better give Frankie the next title shot regardless of what happens between Aldo/McGregor. I almost wonder if a rematch would be counter productive money wise if McGregor wins. We have been on Aldo/McGregor overload for the past two or three months. It would be great for new blood and Frankie hopefully has been generating pull at least on the east coast

Coming in i had frankie winning. Didn't think he would win all 5 rounds and cruise to a victory. Boy definitely deserves that title shot. Too bad i dont see him beating aldo

I don't know why they wouldn't show the replay at a decent hour. Woke up at 4am to watch the replay but fell asleep by the 2nd round of the main event.

If Aldo loses he deserves a immediate rematch. Frankie got the same treatment at 155.

I'm assuming you mean he should get a rematch if the fight is extremely close and he loses. Because that's exactly why Edgar got his.

Frankie got his because he cried a ton about having to give BJ and Gray rematches

And the extremely close argument went out the door the second the UFC gave Anderson a rematch and no one said a peep

The UFC basically forced Anderson though. He said a bunch of times that he didn't want the fight, Weidman was the new champ, but Dana and them saw the money in it and pressed the issue. I'm actually still annoyed he got that rematch, and I kinda wonder how different things would've been if he got a tune up vs bisping or somebody like that instead.

But hopefully there's no rematch issues with Aldo McGregor because Aldo beats the brakes off that dude . We'll have to see though.

Weidman is a more complete and refined version of Chael. Anderson is one of the GOATS but Weidman is of the new era

Don't think it would have made any kind of difference, Anderson wasn't going to get that title back

Not saying Weidman is unbeatable, just a really bad matchup for Anderson
