"The Last Dance" Michael Jordan & Chicago Bulls Docuseries

You are completely incorrect. You are trying to make a race issue out a Sports Documentary. This is not a race issue. My privilege on here is the exact same as yours. I do not want this with you. But at the same I owe YOU zero explanation.
That sports doc was about a Black man, and that Black man changed sports history, the entire narrative. While he did so, he neglected to address the ills created through racism, oppression, by ignoring an issue that was associated with a product that he endorsed. He gained wealth through the product, largely though the demo that he neglected. Great player, best of his generation, I admire him on court. But he neglected to speak up for his community, the one that birthed him.

So, I ask you again. What do you mean by OUR ATHLETES?

If you understand history, you'd then understand why that is insulting.

You are taking it way too far. Thinking too hard and trying to find a reason to have an issue. Our Athletes mean simply us. US. You, me. US. The fans. Not everyone looks at life with race controlling it. You are sparring with me on a shoe forum. We both have the same privileges. My comments never had race motives behind them. But all of yours seem to. So I ask. Who is the problem?

It mean turning everything into something that its not. Twisting words. Manipulating comments into questions that force people to react in a negative way. Not everyone looks at life with race in the front of thier mind.

How does manipulating comments into questions have to do with race? Yea, some people have the privilege to not have to think about race. Not everyone has that privilege when there are structures, laws, and institutions that discriminate against them.

Again, you do not see the insult within your commentary. You do not even proclaim innocence through ignorance, you continue to double down as if intelligence is leading you. It isn't.

Not everyone looks at life with race controlling it.

This is your privilege talking, because you act as if you can speak for those in the Black community. EVERYTHING is about race for us, even if we do not admit it. It is impossible to ignore race in America, as even covid is showing the divide that still exists in America.

There is no US, as long as you live with the privilege of being wrong, and then right at the same time due to the color of your skin.

You really do not see that what you are saying here, is wrong. The Black experience in America, IS race. That hasn't changed since 1619.

Exactly they can’t see that. We live race every day. We can’t NOT live race lol, we don’t have that privilege.

You need help man. I will not apologize for something I did not do. If you want to say Im privileged, fine. But I still work everyday for what I have. I have went to Jail for what I have done wrong. I pay for my decision making. Good or Bad. I can accept all that. T;he insults you have thrown my way are so obvious while your trying so hard to capture insults I somehow threw your way.
Amazing.

Amazing.

The problem with white privilege, is that many of you do not even realize that you have it. That is the insidious part of white supremacy. You think that you can compare your life to that of my own, because you've made a few mistakes in life. You think that your misfortune, is that same thing as my ancestors being dragged over here in chains, something that MJ and I have in common. You seem to think that Jim Crow didn't happen, and that Dred Scott is something that Black people should ignore. You had to work hard, so you feel that you can relate.

You can't, and therein lies the insult. You think that this is about US.

MJ and I can discuss our issues growing up Black in America, and we can disagree with how we come to the decision of what being Black means while living in America.

You, are not included in that discussion, and your opinion, does not matter.

It's cool that you are a fan, we can share that, but that is where it ends.

I feel bad for Sam Bowie man, when he played he played well and i feel like people dont know that (check his stats) Wasnt his fault the Blazers drafted him since they already had Clyde. Just unfortunate his leg injuries and the fact that he’s known as the guy taken before the goat makes him seem like a flat out bum. If he was able to stay healthy I bet over his career he wouldve been a 20, 10 and 2-3 blocks per night guy and yet im sure that still wouldnt have changed the way people look at him

Khufu and his fake outrage/concern is funny. He feels let down by Jordan...yet here he is showing off his Jordans earlier today

He’s just using this thread as a soapbox. Typical shtick he’d voice in any random thread. Dude is the absolute definition of buffoon :smh:
its not derailed
its about jordan
who folks feel he failed in his duties on speaking out
on issues that concern the black community
I am sure that you can see what is going on here.

I’m willing to bet he would’ve been a great player and made a few All a Star teams.

I never tried to put myself in that conversation. But my opinion must matter to you because you consistently respond to it. MJ is the subject here. IN SPORTS. The doc is about a sports team and many careers within. While you tell me I have no reason to comment about your "struggle", you sure as hell have no idea of my "privilege" .

The only one derailing this thread, is you. You are attempting to thwart honest discussion. I think that it is pretty clear that you are not Black, and that you have a serious problem with Black people who do not fall in line for you. I find that funny.

This is incorrect, as there were signs painted to indicate such privilege....

Guess where MJ and I had to go, and you didn't?

This definitely doesn't need to be 10 episodes.

Hearing them breakdown Scottie's situation and his whole family was interesting.

Comedy watching MJ and Scottie bully that punk *** GM. Fool had his ego and lost his mind. Bulls would have won a few more if he didn't **** that up.

MJ going off to "I'm Bad" was the highlight of the night for me. Classic song.

Crazy telling a coach that just won a couple Finals this is his last season, even if he wins all 82 games. What a ****in moron. I wouldn't have any respect for him either.

Y'all really gotta knock off the MJ vs LeBron ****. Two different eras, two different players.
