averaged 9.3, 3.5. , and 2.9 assists respectively in 97-98. Made all rookie team and a 5x champ. Slightly above average while playing on some great teams ? He was definitely a bum in 97-98, b.

How much did you put up in the NBA?

Jordan doesn't say anything cause he's on the other side. Jordan is MAGA all the way.
I do know the he is deathly afraid of pissing that demo off, considering his team is in Charlotte NC. If he ever spoke through Black consciousness, he’d be vilified by the right.

Y’all expect Jordan to be moving by street ***** codes out here
Jordan was super square, he walked in that room on them boys like

So square that he was putting hands & feet on his teammates at practice. He was like a quiet but ruthless mob boss on those NBA streets.

He was an important ROLE player on those teams.

Bum? Nah, find a better word.

Intangibles aren't on any stat sheet. If Harper was a "bum", they would've shipped him off with Pete Myers in '95.

Yeah, because you're a kid who probably can't even touch the nets calling a NBA player a bum. Are you even old enough to have seen Ron play?

Skip Bayless rec league bench players calling NBA players bums

I did and you quoted me. “ slightly above average” and played on some great teams. He he was a role player and my initial use of the word BUM was more for his actions during the Paris tournament in 97’. Harper was acting foolish with Burrell and MJ wasn’t having any of it. Yes, Ron Harper was a journeymen NBA player. No, he wasn’t a bum but he was also just a guy.

I wouldn't call him a journey man. Up until his last stint, when he was done, he played for every team for at least 3 seasons.

Harper was a dam good slashing wing.

But I HATE when people say, "_______ would have been like/better than Jordan."

Man please. That is one hell of a claim. People do it with Len Bias. People do it with Ron Harper.

Just stop.

Nah.

You can't call someone, "just a guy" that played a vital role on a championship team. Calling him, "just a guy" insinuates many others could have easily been plugged into HIS spot and the team wouldn't have missed a beat. He is a specific skillset catered to THAT squad.

Stop belittling role players on these teams man.

Bulls merchandise has always sold great and even moreso now since this documentary. Glad I got some of the title winning locker room t shirts before this.

this is fair and one hundred percent how to debate. Harper was the starting PG on that last 3-peat so you’re definitely right. I do remember him being a great defender and his stats suffering have more to do with Phils offense than anything. His stats “ look” average/ just another guy-ish during his Bull tenure but his role can’t be looked at like that.... you right

While it is never too late, we can also speak to not striking while the fire is hot.

The fire has always been hot, but it was still a completely different world back then."Shoulda, coulda, woulda" at this point. There were millions of people telling him how he should use his power and influence, and very few of them were actually in it for the benefit of more than their own self interests. "Shut up & dribble" was a real thing during his time. The world doesn't fit that mold anymore. Just because his moves weren't publicized, it doesn't mean he wasn't making them.

He wasn’t. The Craig Hodges situation is one example of how MJ dropped the ball.
